redesign the interior door handles both the latch and the pulls. It's nearly impossible to move from the release to the door pull in any sort of windy conditions. The emergency brake release is very poorly positioned...nearly out of reach under the dash |

I have a heated windshield, it has a wire mesh in it and there is bad glare when driving at night. Ford needs to step up and take care of this problem. So far they are not. They also need to improve the MPG. I get about 15MPG Highway 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Review:

Had a 2004, traded it in after driving the 07. Dramatic difference in ride comfort and handleing. Had to get the V8. I get 17 MPG with the 07, got 19 MPG with the 04 V6. Ground clearance was better with the 04, the new one can climb fine if it's not too rough. The 07 drives and is a much safer vehicle, does not pitch around like a stage coach when driven hard like the 04 did.

Turn signal lever is awkward and goes to brights very easy, no rear defogger and with a 6 speed it should get a little better mileage. 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Review:
I've wanted one of these for a while and was looking at older used Sport Trac. Saw the 07 and just had to have one with a V8. Love the color and the accents look great. Nice to have truck/4WD capability with 5 passenger seating. My first new FORD ever....all GM previous. A very nice vehicle....99.9 % satisfied. |

It has a very responsive engine. It is very easy to drive. The seats are very comfortable. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac?
The message center warnings are overwhelming. They do not allow the driver to see the mileage etc when the messages appear and stay on. Perhaps intermitent messages might be better. 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Review:

5. more leather seating colors/choices

The rubber floor treatment is chezzy especially in the Limited trim level...what is Ford thinking with this? The elimination of the Adrenalin model is a disaster and leaves a huge hole in Sport Trac line-up with no sporty/performance level. Just another ho-hum versatile mommy wagon/truck. The black rubber floors are a deal breaker for me. |
