Styling exterior and interior great.
Ease of entry/exit for car seats/older folks excellent.
Smooth/comfortable ride.
Plenty of rear cargo for dog carrier and luggage. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Edge?
Transmission randomly jumps in/out of OD. Rpm4-5000 at 40mph. Speedometer bounces between 70-80 when traveling at 70mph for 1-2 min and settles back to steady 70mph. Only occurs when 2-3hr trip. 2 trips to dealer, can't download the "event". Now have an "event recorder" to push button when occurs. Off the record Ford mechanic advised that 2007 Edge trans are problem, seal needed replaced and or SSC? unit. Only 10 000 miles to fix till warranty runs out. |

The inner bearing on the transmission is bad. Ford needs to accept responsibility for design problems when consumers complain or they will lose loyal customers. |

Nice ride.
Roomy. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Edge?
Hit my head on window getting in all the time....too sleek of a design.
18k miles...had a leak when making left turns squirting inside passenger front floor.....went to dealer...only fix is to blow out the lines where condensation builds up in engine....so every time it clogs it will have to go back to dealer...
Filling with gas - same thing...have to blow out the clogged line....and from the leak came a musty smell that after two bottles of fabreze - I still cant get the smell out....
I am glad it's a lease....and I don't have to keep it.
And the dealer orders the car with no power front seat...the lever to move the seat up and down is so low - almost to the floor - it's hard to reach... 2007 Ford Edge Review:
Overall I don't love the vehicle. The ride is great but all the bothersome problems have left me saying that this will not be the next vehicle I buy. I will move on to something else. |

Just for your info Ford had a problem with their P.T.U.'s, because the supplier in Mexico put in some bad seal in their P.T.U.'s The problem was fixed, everything OK now-- so if you have a problem go to your dealer and they will fix it. |

I love the vista roof, heated seats and GPS. I've been getting 24-28 mpg - highway driving. I LOVE this car!!! I do a lot of traveling for work and this vehicle makes it fun! Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Edge?

After 10,000 miles, my Edge started to "clunk" into gear going from park to reverse. Sometimes it was so hard you though you needed a neck brace. After 2 repair attempts, I was told there was a glitch in the computer and that a
"fix" hadn't been developed yet. I called BBB for Lemon Law paperwork and received a call from Ford the next day. Within a week, the Ford Rep sent an Engineer to check my vehicle and now I'm getting a brand new transmission! I'm very happy with Ford's response- although the process prior to calling them was very aggrevating. |

The new vista roof is a no sell and I would NEVER purchase that again. Every since I have had the vehicle, or at least with in the first month my car has been in there eight time for the very same problem, the VISTA ROOF RATTLES ALL THE TIME. Plus they have had to replace the shifter in it twice because it didnt want to go in gear from park. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE. 2007 Ford Edge Review:

I liked the ride. I currently drive a jeep and it has the same ride. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Edge?
The milage is a drawback because I put alot of miles on. I would find a way to make it 25mpg or more.I drove one for the weekend to see if I wanted to buy. 2007 Ford Edge Review:

Awful grille - needs some exterior upgrades, maybe optional chrome trim on the windows and doors - larger engine option - Ford never has gotten the quality exterior appearance, e.g. trim exterior paint finishes, that are available on other manufacturers' cars, even those in the same price class. 2007 Ford Edge Review:
