Pros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Nitro?

My Nitro is unstoppable in mud and snow. It came from the factory with 3:55 gears so it really likes to get up and go!

Every speed limit in my town is 40 mph, so the trans cant decide which gear it should be in. It drives me crazy. Also, the blind spots really make it hard to drive the express ways in Detroit.

DOESN'T DO GOOD IN THE SNOW AS SOON AS YOU GET IT GOING THE BRAKES ACTIVATE AND YOU LOOSE MOMENTUM.
VERY BAD BLIND SPOTS.
NEED TO BE ABLE TO TURN OFF ANTI SKID FOR OFF RIDING.

interior trim. spec. drivers left hand side seat trim. Been replaced 4 times so far. Dealers state they have many req. for replacements. Our nitro only has 5,802 miles.

Instead of replacement a re-design is in order. Dealership is very accomidating and appoliges each time replacement is needed.

better fit on interior trim. Too many things coming apart, i.e., plastic on side of driver seat, black strip on roof of vehicle.

Ease of going from 2 to 4WD; in Illinois we need it the way the weather changes.

Reduce the interior noise, too many squeaks and the wind dynamics if the only the rear window are open. Also add a little more comfort to the seats for long distance drives. Better gas mileage is always a plus.

I like the fact that the seats fold down for hauling large objects. It's got power when I need to get up and go. Plus, it has enought room for my two boys.

I would improve it with better sound quality and better cover for the rear security.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A SUSPENSION IN THE FROUNT AND BACK SO THAT A 4" LIFT KIT COULD BE INSTALLED. I THINK THE NITRO WOULD WORK VERRY WELL OFF ROAD WITH A LITTLE HELP.

I have the RT model. Its a headturner, for sure. Has aggressive road appeal.

If I had the skills/knowledge, I would make the acceleration smoother. The RT model has a very unpredictable acceleration history--"jerky"; what the dealership calls "perky".

Good looks, Great sound system, Great back seat roominess and cargo area, MyGig is a pleasure to own and move around in, Shifting is smooth and engine is responsive. Intrior noise is at a minimum. The R/T is a real looker and the attention to detail concerning the seats and interior is first rate.

Several "Blind spots" make driving this vehicle a little concerning. When you give her the gas, the motor makes a lot of noise. When you are moving and the window is down, there is a lot of noise and air coming in.

Overall: I give the Nitro a 4 out of five. It is easy to drive, fun to drive and Looks great on the road. The only glitch is the "Blind Spots" at the corners.

everything is awesome. i love this car and i will never trade it. i had nissan exterra and it was a scary ride to the gas station every day. this suv is everything you need from a weekend car to a commuter car. you have everything incorporated and overall is that once you drive this car you will buy it 100%.
