Top 5 Pros of 2007 Dodge Caliber
Top 5 Cons of 2007 Dodge Caliber

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Stereo sounds great.
Enough space for my bulky stuff when I fold the rear seats down.
Acceleration is good enough.
Looks great (got a black one).
Saves me on gas.
Compact enough to park almost anywhere.
Beverage cooler/compartment.
iPod holder.
A/C is good enough, heater even better.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Visibility, seems like the windows need to get bigger.
Needs more rear seat leg room (for tall friends).
Needs more power going up high altittudes.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
I bought this for myself on my birthday this year (2011); and so far it's been good. I was the 3rd owner and I know that the former owners don't know diddly-squat about how to maintain cars. So I did the repairs and what not, and so far it has not failed me or my expectations for this genre of vehicle. Though this car could use more power, a turbo air intake can help and a quick change of exhaust system can help with that issue.
Bottom line is... this is not meant to be a sports coupe/car; a atv or a jeep, or a van. It's an economy crossover. Great for roadtrips with friends, small families, and for the most part, the city.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
100,000+ miles and not a single major problem (aside from general maintenance).
AC Plug, use it all the time for my laptop.
The Boston Acoustics sound system is awesome, love it!!
Handles great and plenty of power. (Have the fuel injectors cleaned at every oil change!!!!!)
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
I agree, some of the interior and exterior parts look cheap. The driver side rear tail light isn't sealed correctly and allows water to collect inside the housing. However we are talking about a $17,000 car and not a $50,000 luxury vehicle.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
I've put over 100,000 miles on the car and no major problems with it. Granted, the miles are mostly highway. I'm about to have the brakes replaced for the first time. Alignment has been done once at 50K miles and I had no mention of problems with tire rods or joints as some others have posted.
For those who are having power or combustion problems, that is caused from the ethanol in the gas gumming up your fuel injectors. If you have reached the point of low power or combustion problems, buying the fuel injector cleaner from an autoparts store just won't cut it. You need to take it to a place like Xpress Lube or Jiffy Lube and have the fuel injectors serviced. The Caliber will run like a champ after that.
After that, use an over the counter fuel injector cleaner every few fill ups to keep your Caliber running smoothly.
And read your service manual people, most problems you are going to have with the car can be prevented if you have the right maintenance done at the right time.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Lot of space.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Underneath rust fast and the bushing and arm breaks a lot.. Seem to be every two years.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Good car if they fix the problems.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
1) Roomy interior.
2) Okay fuel economy. I have just topped 120,000 miles and I have averaged between 25-27 mpg in town and 27-30mpg on the highway during the whole 5 years that I've owned the car.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
1) BLIND SPOTS are everywhere you look. Car should be redesigned or scrapped. It is really bad. Use extreme caution, don't just glance back, take your time before making any lane changes and even when you think it's clear take a second and third look before moving over.
2) Work out excessive tire wear problems.
3) Change tire supplier or use a different tread pattern.
4) ROAD NOISE: Spray on insulation is cheap. Chrysler/Dodge should use some anywhere they can to help with the noise problems.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
I bought my 2007 SXT 2.0/CVT new in May 2006. I chose the car because of price and the room interior. I'm a big guy, 6'2" tall and 250lbs. Comfort of drivers seat is ok, unless you are driving all day, then you realize it's not a Lincoln. My wife hates the passenger seat and always has. She's an average sized lady and just cannot get comfortable and she's tortured on long trips.
My car has been notorious for using up tires. I've been through 3 sets and getting close again.
Road noise is terrible, just like everyone says. Mine has gotten worse in the last year, so maybe time to have wheel bearings checked and/or maybe try a different type tire.
Battery has been replaced twice and the alternator just went out a few months ago and had to be replaced. (When you start hearing a rattling sound around the alternator, even if it is still charging the battery, just go ahead and get it replaced.)
CVT Transmission will overheat and shut down the car if it has not been serviced as called for at 60k miles. I speak from experience, even though I didn't experience that until I hit 115k miles. Got it serviced and it's been okay since.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
I have had nothing wrong with my Caliber and it has over 124,000 miles put on it.
It has amazing power for a little 4 cyl. The A/C works great, along with the heat. The seats are very comfortable. Plenty of room in the back, even more room if you fold the seats down. It gets pretty good gas mileage, unless you gun it. It has been recently hit by a truck 2 times its size, and it's still driveable. The Caliber is a tank.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
I have nothing bad to say about my Dodge Caliber.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Perfect car.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Just about everything. I bought the car to be a commuter car. It has performed very well for me. I now have 110,000 miles on it and get 29-30 mpg on highway. I have gotten better mileage when I drive a little slower.
The A/C has always been good. I've had the fuel injectors cleaned twice and replaced the tires once. I am somewhat anal about the maintenance and have the oil changed every 3,000 miles and the tires rotated every time I have the oil changed.
My only complaint is the road noise. I've seen a lot of complaints about that from other posters.
For the money, it has been a great car. I didn't expect a RR or a Bentley for what I paid for it. I would buy another one.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Reduce the road noise as mentioned above. The trip odometer reset button could be located better.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Great car, still driving it.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
LOVE MINE!!! Swore I would never buy another Dodge, but I love my Caliber!
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Noise.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Bought one of the first ones! Still like it, drive it everywhere!
People expect too much for what you pay for in this car. You do not pay 18,000 and expect to get a 50,000 dollar value.
Great car for the money.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Good looks.
Good A/C.
Good heat.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
NO POWER!!
Uncomfortable seats, no leg room in back seats, no much room for me and my dogs & gear for dog shows.
Lot of road noise.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Not my favorite car, I have the 1.8 manual shift, very poor power and gas mileage is not that good for lack of power. I had a 1995 Ram 1500 I LOVED that truck, Chrysler went CHEAP with the Caliber.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Everything!!
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Maybe more insulation to keep outside noise out (tire noise).
And no mesh on the seats.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
I've had my car for almost 3 years. Only had to put new tired on it once so far and they are still going good. Had a few flats but that's normal.
It's just right for me and my 2 children. Although the doors are light and easy to slam with kids. It's been a great car and as long as you do the usual maintenance then it runs like a champ.
No it's not going to have the power of a mustang but it's a 1.8 liter duh. Great mommy car for sure.
Only problem in having now is my ac compressor is going out. But my car is out of warranty and I've put over 50,000 miles on it. 76,000 miles on it now. Drove it all the way to Texas and back 2x loaded down with not 1 problem.
Overall, I think it's a great car and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Nothing.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Redo the entire car or get rid of the model completely.
2007 Dodge Caliber Review:
Well lets see...what haven't I gotten repaired on this car. I have had the battery replaced 4 times and the alternator replaced. I have had the tires aligned and balanced countless times attempting to get rid of the noise the tires make. I have had struts and shocks put on the car in addition to 4 new tires that totaled more that $1800. Now my car is overheating while traveling less that 70 miles. Oh and the back defrost does not operate, the windows squeak and the doors sound like tin cans when they close. I will NEVER purchase a Dodge vehicle again.
