2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
Handling is good, and the driving position works well for me.

Entry and exit are easy, and the seat is comfortable, if a bit firm.

I also like the available equipment in my Limited, especially the sunroof.

Also the body style is relatively easy to customize.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
The acceleration is somewhat tepid, and the gas mileage is o.k., but not impressive considering the vehicle's size.

The turning radius is also a bit too big for the size of the vehicle.

2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Review:
I like my Cruiser. Its distinctive appearance, and decent overall performance suit me just fine. Also, her hauling ability is a wonderful step up from my previous car.

But she is a bit of a Jack of all trades, master of none. It would have done everyone a world of good if Daimler had decided to just develop the Cruiser as a car, instead of as the truck, suv, van, station wagon, whatever, that they did. (Depending on who you talk to, they have called the P.T. Cruiser every one of these titles at one time or another.)

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
I love the stylish exterior, and interior of my cruiser.

I like the analog clock in the center of the dash.

Love the thermometer and compass.
I've got a moon roof, which is wonderful when it's too cold to have the ac on or windows down, but too hot to have everything shut.

TONS of cargo space, and leg space.
Fits in lots of parking spots, and once you learn the front and back end, it parallel parks wonderfully.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
It's hard to put an infant seat in the back with a base, the seats are rather close together. If you put it in the center though, it works alright. Toddler car seats and the boosters fit fine.

The gas mileage isn't AS GOOD as I thought it would be, but still better than other vehicles. I get about 19 innercity, and 21 highway.

There is some pretty nasty body lean on certain angled corners. Slow to accelerate, but I only have the base engine model, no turbo.

The car shakes around quite a bit, but the mechanics keep telling me it's just normal for this car.

Overall, I love my car. It's great for space, comfortable for the long rides, not terrible gas mileage, parks easily, and for the base model I have a lot of bells and whistles. I still haven't driven it in snow though, we shall see how that goes.

A high back convertible car seat fits well rear facing in the center of car, and it also has the built in latch system. It's a good car for a small family and you really can't beat the price for a single income home.
Seats are very easy to clean when something is spilled on them.
It also handles very well and has good gas mileage for a mid-sized vehicle.
It can comfortably seat three full sized adults in the back seat.

The front seat doesn't have enough arm room. The car sits a little too low to actually look under it. And this model didn't come with cruise control. The car is way to easy to figure out. The key is way to expensive if you loose it and it doesn't come with a spare.

It's a good family car. And all I can say is IT gets a lot better gas mileage than my truck does.

We are retired and have a convertible. We have total enjoyed it. It handles very well in traffic. We like it because it is light and tows well behind the motorhome.

It is a shame that it is going-out-of-production. Fire the accounts!

Better HP on the standard motor.
The fuel economy doesn't appear to be as advertised.

The gas mileage is getting worse daily. Just spent $353.00 for oil change and spark plug replacement and cleaning of something.
I was getting 26 mpg on freeway, not 16 mpg after car was "fixed."
It has a hard time on any slight incline.
Very poor turning capabilities. My Jeep and Saturn were 100% better on that.
Tires get low/flat every 2 weeks and I'm told it's my fault because I don't drive too many miles per day.
I wish I had an answer to this. My husband is ill and we need a dependable car.
I am sorry I got it.

It's spacious, I like the shelf in the trunk - it fits my stroller and groceries well.

All of the engine problems and alignment problems, doesn't fit a car seat very well, doesn't handle very well, gas mileage not as well as claimed.

Turns on a dime, gutless but I'm not in L.A. Roomy interior, nice generic features, easy to figure out, someone turned in front of me yesterday, I mean RIGHT in front of me. I saw my life and my teeth before my eyes and was able to brake in time to save my life and the lives in the cars behind me..... my little PT had just 300 miles on it, and I was able to brake and recoup in a matter of seconds....nothing like a trip to the post office !!!!

It's pretty user friendly, and I'm a car whore....I like new ones every few years or so....I'm a Toyota lover and one thing I really liked about the Rav4 I just sold was the bumper guards that perfectly aligned to shopping carts to prevent damage....that would be a plus....
