It is a piece of crap!
Brakes, Wheel bearings, Electrical,leaks water when it rains just above the e-brake pedal, roof rack peeling up looks like crap.
Shall I continue?
I tried to trade it in at the Chevy dealer where I bought it and they said we don't make them any more because nobody wants them. The salesman told me they didn't really want it. They offered me 1/2 of what I paid 6 months earlier for the van new. Chevy will never get any more of my business. 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Review:

Rides good.
Gas mileage is good 23 to 26 highway.
Good pick up and rides nice at high speeds.
Comfortable front seats. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Uplander?
Sliding doors have to be slammed to close.
Front rotors replaced with less then 30,000 miles.
Brake pads replaced twice.
In shop now (01-18-10) transmission fluid leaked into coolant system somehow (52,000 miles). 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Review:

I love this vehicle! I've never had one problem and I love that it tells me what is wrong. I've been told when to change my oil, when they key pad's battery is low etc... It's great! Don't listen to the other people! I've had mine since 07 and it's 2010 now! Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Uplander?

The Uplander started out to to be a very reliable and fun to drive vehicle but after two years it started having many problems. The rear wiper motor had to be replaced, the stabilizer bar links had to be replaced and 3 trips back to the dealer for new brake pads and rotors. Now I am having problems with the steering and ABS system. I have decided to trade in this vehicle even though the resale value is terrible.
The Uplander will be gone by the end of this year. To anyone thinking of buying an Uplander I suggest you avoid this vehicle. |

A lot of room and power. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Uplander?
Recall all the vehicles with same problems (all).
1.- Steering wheel shakes and pulls to side even after steering column replacement, something is wrong with rack and pinion (leak and noisy). Mine is a 2007 and already taken to shop (Dealership) 5 times and still has same problems.

On freeway the car is good. I mean good. I drove to L.A. and I loved it.
Engine is good. Lots of power. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Uplander?
First - factory should recall steering column. It makes noise.
Second - front rotors ( discs ) I had replaced them at 20000 km. Factory should put quality discs not junk in new vehicle. 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
I bought mine in 2007.
It had 2500 km. It was rear ended. It was rebuilt. It cost me $11,000 cnd.
Total so it is worth the bucks. |

Flex Fuel and roof bars added as standard.
Tires other than Good Year Inegrity or sort out the wheel geometry to correct the problem of the original rear tyres wearing on inside edges.
Lighter rear seats that are easier to remove or foldaway seats. 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
Basic model (LS) without power doors and some of the other poorly designed gizmos is a pretty reliable family vehicle. If you are in warmer climes, do not even consider a model without rear A/C. Mechanically pretty good but one or two service issues such as the difficulty in accessing the rear bank spark plugs. |

Since we bought it the gas guage has been insane I even ran out of gas when it showed I had 1/8 of a tank and 97 miles to go. Since then it has had the sending unit replaced and fixed three times all the while the service people are telling me the computer is the problem. Finally they have decided it is the cluster and plan to replace it. Now it seems the wheel bearing is going out at only 39000 miles and the bumper to bumper says it does not cover those. The tires cost two hundred dollard to replace, give me a break I used to be able to buy four tires for that price. I am really considering trading it in. |

Pass side door in twice to get loosened, kids couldn't open it.
Bought as a family van and it has 1 cupholder in the back for 5 seats?

The only thing I like is it has good pick up. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Uplander?
Scrap the whole thing and start over. Reliability would be nice, better turning radius, cupholders and armrests for middle seats (LS has NONE), comfortable seatbelts, fold flat back seat, side airbags, smooth ride, trunk lid that's easier to close, sliding doors that don't freeze shut in winter, and power back windows so I don't have to get out, open the trunk, and open or close the windows. Pain in the butt when it starts to rain and I'm driving. Overpriced piece of junk. 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. Has been in the shop 8 times in the 11 months I have owned it, and it's still not right. Steering wheel shakes and pulls to the side even after steering column replacement, new brakes, and tires re-aligned and balanced. Has had 3 electrical problems that has resulted in it not starting, and now there is a loud rattle coming from somewhere underneath. Bumper to bumper warranty is now out and is in the process of getting taken back as a lemon. Don't buy one! You will have endless problems. |

My brakes have squealed for 14,000 miles. GM has not been able or willing to fix them.
My left sliding door has not worked properly since I got the van new. I would like to know if there are any other reports of back doors not closing properly? And if there are any reports of brakes squealing when coming to a normal stop at a stop sign? |
