Previous models had a firmer ride with much less chance of bottoming-out. It is supposed to be a 4WD truck, but GM has changed the ride such that off-road is out of the question. Front-end clearance is abysmal. |

They should have a light inside telling you when the rear tailgate is down. The remote start is a JOKE I have had remote starters in other vehicles. This one has no range you have to get so close to make it work its just as easy to go star it with the key 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
The power and mileage is less than my 2004 Avalanche with the same engine.GM claims 20 MPG on the HYW your lucky to get 18. The 4/8 cylinder only goes to the 4 cylinder when your going down a hill or let off the gas.It doesn't help the mileage. I don't know how they get away with claiming 20MPG. |

5000 miles an I have had 3 problems. 1) remote door openers failed - transmitting problem. 2)sometimes the automatic headlights get stuck on night. 3)when the temp goes below 10 degrees, the windshield makes popping noises when going over bumps. |

extend the rear floor section so that when rear seats are folded down there is ample room for the front occupants without their seats being too far forward |

first thing ..the glove box is too small...it comes with a lock...but the locking mechanism thats in the inside is in the way that even the car manual wont fit into it....any way you can make the glove boxes that dont have a lock? the older models didn't have them. |

Lower step on rear bumper for accesss to covers. Small door in midgate to enable carrying up to 10' long pipe, molding, etc without lowering midgate.
Return to pushbutton control for various 4WD functions. Round dial confused with light switch. 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
