The excellent quiet ride that comes from the same platform as the Cadillac DTS. The improved technology linked with the OnStar System - which I have renewed - the Safe & Sound Plan, plus updating my minutes. Also the extended warranty - 4 year 50,000 and 5 year 100,000 - which adds value. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Buick Lucerne?
The Lucerne is replacing the Buick LeSabre and Park Avenue - GM products that had an excellent rating, and lots of owner loyalty. When it come to the interior design the Lucerne could make some improvement. The current design is a little plain, but may hold up well. 2007 Buick Lucerne Review:
We purchased our 2007 Buick Lucerne on May 10, 2007. I posted a review about a year ago and wish to up-date that review. We owned a Buick LeSabre and an Oldsmobile 88 before the Buick Lucerne 2007. The Lucerne CX with the 3800 V6 Series III engine was the best choice for our needs. OPINION- I read reviews critical of the 197 HP rating on the 3800 V6 Series III. Yes, this is an old engine but with near a 50 year excellent track record - all cast iron - work horse - in its last year of scheduled production.. Also 2000 rpm's will carry you on the interstate at 80 mph with ease. However, it is not designed to be a muscle car engine. In 11,970 miles the first year we averaged 23.5 mpg. About 3,000 miles were interstate with mpg's at 30 plus or minus. You always wish for better milage at the price of gas today, but not bad for an excellent ride. |

I like the outside look of the car, and how quite the ride is. My favortie part of the car, is the heated seats & the auto dimming mirrors. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Buick Lucerne?
It should come with the navigation already installed in the car, and the speakers should be a little louder at the peak volume. 2007 Buick Lucerne Review:
It's an alright car, but I dont think this should be the top pick of the the counsumer reports. It is an average 3 out of 5 for me. I wouldn't buy this car again. |

Gas mileage on the V6. It is 8 mkpg less than the 2004 Park Ave!
Door sills need to be lowered or door hinges moved further forward for easier exit. Window sills too high, hard to use drive up windows. 2007 Buick Lucerne Review:

Front wheel drive. Makes driving easier in the Eastern part of the U.S. during winter months.
Sporty look for the size of the car.
Interior is stylish and comfortable. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Buick Lucerne?
Design instrument panel more friendlier for the passenger side of the car. From their side, they can't see the outside temperature, the compass direction, the speed you are traveling. Seems this was designed so a buyer would have to purchase more options or pricey packages.
Was surprised that the trunk space was so small for the length of the car. To make matters worse, the trunk hinges limit luggage height in those areas. |
