2007 Buick Lucerne

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Buick Lucerne?
Good ride.
Quiet, low wind noise.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Buick Lucerne?
Instrument cluster needs back lighting all times during daylight use.
Gas mileage much lower than my 2001 Le Saber. (This is hard to figure sense both are 3800 powered and I think the Lucerne is only 300lbs. heaver.)

Better gas mileage. I had a 2003 Buick LeSabre that got much better gas mileage. If I ever get another Lucerne, the MPG better be improved, or I go to Ford.

2007 Buick Lucerne Review:
Overall, I'm happy with the performance, but we do a lot of driving and the cost of gas is getting ridiculous. I wish there was a way to improve gas mileage. Maybe Buick can add/delete something on this model to improve fuel economy.

Front end styling.

Improve the gas mileage. My 2001 PA w/supercharger got much better mileage.
The column gear shift blocks the radio dial.
The center post blocks view.
There's no rear end styling, it's just chopped off.
Move the cruise control back where it was on the PA.
The controls on the steering wheel are hard to use.

With a V-8 engine and a smooth comfortable ride both in the front and rear of the cabin, who could go wrong? But...

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Buick Lucerne?
The front pillars on either side of the windshield create horrible blind spots and don't think you are going to whip this car around or park with ease.
The turning radius is appalling. Come on America, European cars have us undoubtedly beat on both visibility and turning radius and with our roads becoming increasingly congested by the millisecond both of the aforementioned specifications are vitally important.

Put outside temp back in mirror so every one in car can read it.
Make gauge cluster easier to read.

Engine surges when not in cruise. Driver's outside door handle pulls out.

Reliability of 3800 V-6 and 4 speed automatic trans.
Harmon Kardon audio top notch.
Fun to drive in summer with sunroof.
Very good cruise control easy to use.
Responsive engine with 28 mpg on highway.
Not tired after driving on long trips.

Brakes adequate, but not as good as heavier full size Ford sedan.

A very quiet, smooth, fun to drive sedan with nice back seat and trunk. Very good control with 17" Michelin Primacy tires. Sharkskin paint stunning.

CXL Nice ride with 17" wheels and nice interior and seating. ****

Never place painted spoke rims on a Lucerne, chrome, or polished aluminum.
Improve the visibility of the speedometer and the steering wheel.
Hate the electronic gas pedal when not in cruise control, in traffic it surges, but not on cruise.
I put a spoiler on the rear and improved the narrow look of the rear end, it definitely improved it's lines and looks, with a brake light in the spoiler, too.
The Cadillac's wider rear end is preferable.
Gas mileage is poorer than our 1999 Ultra 3800 turbo V-6 and that is disappointing.***
