BAD BAD BAD BAD Reliability! I do not understand how BMW gets away with such bad unreliable and very costly to repair cars! Leaky engine, leaky coolant system, leaky transmission, had to replace both struts. Car has been at the shop once every two months ever since we bought it! AVOID BUYING THIS CAR unless you have extra $$$$$$$$ to keep repairing it!

2007 BMW X5 Review:
BMW finally got it right with the redesigned X5. BMW engineers and designers eliminated the clunky feel of the old X5 that contradicted BMW's "ultimate driving machine" image, and they successfully enhanced the utilitarian aspect of an SUV that lacked from the previous version. Because of X5's newly emphasized character as a driver's machine, a few of the passengers will complain about the ride being too firm. X5 is not a car for those who seek comfort in traditional American sense - large space with cushy seats and floating feel. X5 will hit the high note with those who seek a refined sporty SUV with plenty of utility. The sportiness of the vehicle will come in handy in complex city driving, and flat folding seats will become a decently comfortable camping bed for the children with the help of an inflatable cushion. The ever increasing price tag might be an obstacle for a lot of folks who vie an SUV with elevated level of sophistication, but X5 will certainly convert other luxury SUV owners to switch.

1. Must have spare tire with 3rd row seat. Must.
2. diesel coming out in 2008 is needed.
3. BMW needs to figure out a way to use regular gas.

2007 BMW X5 Review:
6 cylinder must be pushed to perform well. I cannot understand why they designed the vehicle to have run flats(good for only at most 90 miles) if the 3rd row seat is ordered.
Otherwise nice car, but expensive.

Improve reliability and BMW's misleading consumer con game. They keep telling you they will fix problems but don't. They are just waiting you out until you give up or lemon law time period expires.
