A6 3.2 Quattro. What a ride. Excellent styling inside and out. My light silver gives it a classy (but understated) appearance and doesn't show the dirt. 18" rims fill the wheel wells nicely and are surprisingly comfortable on the road. The MMI is easy to understand, but I wouldn't make too many adjustments while driving. The Bluetooth is excellent. The upgraded Bose system--especially in surround sound mode--is incredible inside the very quiet cab. Get Satellite Radio. The cabin storage isn't great, but it'll keep me from storing needless junk in the glove compartment. The interior is easily best in class. Seats are supportive and comfortable. And the trunk is spacious--and you can fold down the rear seats, so I can hold 3-4 full golf bags. The price can get high if you option it to the hilt. Other manufacturers are more generous with their option packages. Insurance ratings are the best in class. I've only had it for 1,700 miles but getting around 23mph overall. If you're looking in this price range ($45-55k) put this on the short list. |

Handling, seats, quiet ride, automatic windshield wipers, AWD system, beautiful finish, inside and out. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Audi A6?
Move some controls from MMI back onto the dash so I don't have to look down as far. Doors heavy and a little awkward to open when facing uphill. 2007 Audi A6 Review:
This car is the best vehicle I have ever owned (so far). I love the opulent feeling it exudes. It drives comfortably, and has a good ride/handling compromise with little cornering lean. The AWD system gives great confidence on fast cornering. The 4-way lumbar adjustments make the seats very comfortable. The car has
done extremely well in the IIHS tests (best large car pick), including good rear collision whiplash results. |

Naturally there is never enough acceleration. But it is in keeping with the needs of the model. No complaints. 2007 Audi A6 Review:
I purchased my A6 in January 2006. It was a left-over 2005 model and had All the extras other than Navi. I added it after I purchased it direct from Audi and I installed the factory XM integrator. I just took my first trip over 1000 miles with the car. It ran most of the way in rain or shine at 80 to 100 mph with 80 being it's preferred speed (V-6). Mileage on the trip was about 20 to 24 mpg. 20 gallon tank saves on needless stops. The car made the trip a pure joy with dual climate controls, rear seat ventilation, power sunshade and rear shades, as well as the XM Radio and FABULOUS Bose CD System using the Surround sound settings on maximum. The navigation really bests the Navi in my new Acura 2006 TL by far. This car was a steal for a CA car at $39,000. Now they are well over $55,000 here for an AWD Quattro as I currenly have. Good news about 2005 and 2006. Last years made with free maintenance and loan cars. Program has been discontinued. Smart move it to purchase the maintenance recommended at time of purchase or lease and save a bundle when it comes time for the services. Mine has the services paid through 100,000 miles for $1500. additional. Since if you have owned Audis - I had an 01 A6 and currently a red 2006 A4, - you will know they WILL spend time in the shop. Waiting on parts can slow things on the newer models. |
