| Pros: What do you like about 2007 Acura MDX?
I love the performance - accleration, steering, braking - all of which are superb in every respect. The interior is comfortable and luxurious, especially the seats (I can no longer say that the Swedes make the best seats). The safety features and crash test ratings are impressive. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Acura MDX?
I'd make the navigation screen brighter and larger; I'd replace the buttons on the center column with bigger buttons that are easier to tell apart; I'd make the interior quieter; and I'd add smoke screen, passenger-seat eject, and guided missles (ok, maybe I wouldn't add those, but they seem to be the few high-tech features missing on this well-equiped car). 2007 Acura MDX Review:
When I started my car search I narrowed my list quickly: most of the big SUVs, and even many mid-sized ones, had unacceptably bad roll over or crash test ratings. The MDX scored at the top, and it's clear that Acura has put a lot of thought into safety. The powerful engine and brakes, and nimble handling make this a safer car, as well, and you can tell the wife that when she wants to know why you can't go with the Pilot.
The interior is luxurious and comfortable, and make the car all the more fun to drive. I'd need thicker glasses to be able to tell what all the buttons on the center column do, but the voice-recognition system compensates well for that (e.g., you say "rear passenger temperature 70 degrees," or "XM channel 112," and the car responds accordingly; it really works, too).
The seats are really great. I don't think I've ever sat in a car with better ones.
This is a good-looking car, besides; it's not just another boxy SUV. I wish, though, that Acura would offer more color choices. They do make red and brown and appealing combinations with interior colors but dealer stock of anything other than silver or black seems to be limited.

Compared with other luxury SUVs, I am most impressed with the way the MDX steers, handles, and feels. It's agile and fun to drive with power to spare. Cons: How would you improve 2007 Acura MDX?
Although this is subjective, I did not buy the MDX because of its stylist looks. I also would replace the dark wood like plastic on the dash, place the NAV screen closer to the driver, and add a cargo cover. 2007 Acura MDX Review:

Having been highly satisfied with my Lexus SUV for seven years, I kept coming back to the Acura MDX because it handled much better, had more high tech features, and a better price. With the technology package, the MDX has everything you can imagine.....voice activated NAv, hands free blue tooth phone, most controls built into the steering wheel, a premium surround sound DVD audio system, and even a place to plug in your I-Pod or MP3 player. Plus, the seats are extremely supportive and driving position perfect. Last but not least, this is the safest SUV on the market, with 5 star ratings for front, side, and rear. The Acura MDX is one of only 9 cars or SUV to get a good rating by Consumer Reports for rear protection because of its headrest design that activates in a rear end collision. |

I can't believe I traded my '04 X-5 for this. Comes up short on the interior controls and ability to adjust airflow. Down right pathetic. $44k car w/o sef-dimming mirror and back of passenger seat IS NOT heated. Gas mileage avg. is 18.6 combined. Wouldn't buy this car again. |

replace the LCD-GPS too much glare and too dark at night despite brightness at highest & contrast at maximum. They should have integrated the GPS screen with the multi-mode, mileage,temp,tire pressure etc into the larger screen. Also when backing up there is a lot of distortion from the camera lens, as well as NO back-up Guide markers similar to Infinity M & Fx cars. Also there is NO auto-off on rear seat heaters that if left on will drain battery. Also left to be desired is the software program on the remote to access the power tail gate properly that goes into fault mode so often. WEould like to see a larger LED light pack on rear. 2007 Acura MDX Review:

I have only test driven it. I currently own a Volkswagen Toureg, and I am finding kind of hard to let go of it. I haven't been able to determine if the Acura Is able to go of road and will drive thru snow and rain as if it wasn't there. Has anyone driven it in those types of conditions. |

My third MDX(2001, 2004, 2007)and the best. Super Navigation Syetem, Neat Voice controls including Bluetooth Phone, many programable car functions like door locks, headlights, tirp odomer and gas mileage calculations, Super sound system with readable MP3 files on DVDs that hold about 24 full original music CDs. The handling feels like I am driving one of my Corvetts of the past both in the feel and sound. Love the car more every day. |
