| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Prius? Gas mileage; interior space (head room); instrumentation (love that interior/exterior air temps and the Bluetooth cap); stability. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? Add side and front camera sensors (EO, IR and radar); offer 5-point harness for all seats; increase mirror size; add external battery charger hook-up (see Pop Sci for Jun 06); add built-in electric air pump/blower to side trunk area; add iPOd or MP3 holder with interface (to eliminate rqmt for post-market cords); redesign instrumentation to add navigation/gps/on-star after initial delivery; add option for hydrogen/ fuel cell upgrade post-delivery. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: We've only owned it for five months. However, the wife puts approximately 100-150 miles per day on the vehicle and it was getting one and half times greater fuel mileage than advertised in the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia traffic (which is often near gridlock). |

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? More adjustable front seats, needs vinyl or leather on door panels and center console cover instead of fabric. Also the touch screen gets fingerprints on it. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: Overall I love my Prius. It`s everthing I hoped it would be and more. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Prius? Fuel economy (of course), Space-age styling, The feel of "gliding" on electric power, the high-tech gadgets. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? Improve interior plastic parts that rattle and shake. I always heard about Toyota quality--if this is it, I'm sticking with my wife's Chevy! Fix the (software?) problems that cause quirky delays and hesitation in power delivery under full throttle, especially in cold weather. The body lean and lousy stock tries need some attention, too. At least the tires I could fix with aftermarket upgrades. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: Forget fuel economy for a minute. The interior of this compact-sized car is mid-sized generous--and comfortable. Where else can you get bluetooh, navigation, and a host of other cool conveniences without stepping into a luxury car showroom and spending thousands more?
The off-the-line punch of the electic motor feels great--when it finally figures out what to do. And sometimes it pauses around 18-19mph to second gues whether it needs to be running on gas, electricity, or both.
After nearly 15,000 miles in my loaded 2005, I appreciate the high-tech, high-end features more than ever. The accomodations are family friendly and I love that it has taken only a little more than 300 gallons to go that far. But when I need to pull into traffic, waiting for the drivetrain to sort itself out is getting tiresome. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Prius? Placement of the controls on the steering wheel that are most often needed. I like the seating set up since it is most flexible--from passengers to cargo with very little effort. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? Simplify the display set up --- it is now too versatile and could cause you to lose sight of your attention to the road. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: The Prius has exceeded my expectations on all counts--it is fun to drive, comfortable, and the mileage is outstanding but not as high as Toyota advertises. The interior layout is well thought out and is most versatile. The information displays need some simplification and better visibility but they are certainly complete. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Prius? keyless entry and fingher on glass controls Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? more adjustable front seat with lumbar support 2006 Toyota Prius Review: great mileage, get up and go, sound system, quiet on road -- I commute 60 miles to work in SCAL -- what a benefit to get in carpool lane and save $$$. Touch screen and keyless operation are coolest parts. Front seat is uncomfortable but all else is A++ |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Prius? The navigation system is beyond description. I can get anywhere I want almost (I said almost) blindfolded. The database of Points Of Interest is extensive. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? As much as I like the navigation system, I would suggest a few improvements. The ability to use the system to dial emergency numbers (police, fire, ambulance) while in motion would be helpful, currently the vehicle must be stopped to dial those numbers. More frequent map updates would be nice too. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: By far the best car I've ever owned. The spaciousness of the car, both seating and the ability to carry large of boxes, packages, is oustanding. With the back seats down and the front passenger seat down, I was able to carry an 8 foot ladder entirely with the car. I drive the car between S.F. and Las Vegas monthly, on each trip I stop once for refueling and arrive at my destination without feeling either tired or cramped (and I am no small guy). Servicing the car is easy, every 5000 miles I bring it to my local dealership... No problems, great service. I can not wait for my wife to start looking for a new car.... the choice will be easy... it will be another Prius. |

| Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Prius? See above, also, maybe the problem of the auxiliary battery running down when the car is stored longer then a week. 2006 Toyota Prius Review: I have only had this car a very short time, but I truly think that this is the wave of the future. It is a real value, I purchased the package#1, the basic model, it it is very nicely equipped. My average mileage is now 45/mph , and has gone as high as 52.It is comfortable, all controls are very accessible, extremely quiet, and a lot of fun to drive. The only fault I can find with it , is the upholstery, very light in color, and seems it would get dirty quite easily. The interior room is very good, lots of cargo space, with and without the back seats folded down. This is a marvelous car, and I would recommend it to anyone. |
