Good on gas! Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara?
Fix the issue or at list admit there is a problem--I should NOT have to replace tires at 15,000 miles. The vehicle is obviously built wrong. I have ONE tire that is completely bald - you can't tell me that this is normal. Did I mention at only 15,000 miles. Funny how I can get on the web and find over 200 individual complaints about the tire-wearing problem but go to my dealer and they never heard of such a thing. Come on Suzuki step up and admit you made a mistake and recall em or pay for the fixing! 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review:
Okay. The vehicle is and was economical from purchasing to fueling, but now I have to replace tires and that is only a temporary fix; these brand new tires too will be worn improperly in a matter of months. I'm very nervous for my families safety driving down a highway. So my choices are to keep it and try to forget about this issue till a tire blows out and we get hurt or hurt someone or look to purchase another vehicle when I completely can not afford to do so. Thanks Suzuki! |

Very well designed vehicle with details. Has to be women who designed this lol... roomy, neat, lots of cup holders, spacious compartment, easy to operate, nice ride, great 4X4 - excellent for the value. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara?
Lightings shoud be more discreet! Most Japanese car don't how to built proper lightnings, door and reading lights are so irritating when operate.
Tire life should be improve and spare tire location is really in a bad spot! If you park closed to another car, getting the cargo in is deadly! The tail gate windows should swing open to compensate for that.
4 wheel disc would be nice and GPS would be a great selling feature. Oh...and I love the keyless entry! 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review:
Overall... I enjoyed the car and feels more like a toys! I am happy with everything other than those mentioned improvement. I rather drive the Vitara over CRX or RAV4 and that is for sure! |

ENTRANCE SPAN IS LIMITED. I AM 6'2" AND CONSTANTLY I AM HITTING PILLAR B WITH MY BACK. GASKET IS BADLY WORN. THIS SUV IS BUILT FOR PEOPLE UNDER 5'6"!!!
ALSO, ITS INTERIOR PLASTICS SCRATCH EASILY. BEWARE OF FUEL PUMP PROBLEMS. (CABLES ARE EXPOSED TO RODENTS)
FUSE BOX IS NON FRIENDLY. YOU HAVE TO CONTOUR YOUR BODY TO REACH IT UNDER DASH.
CUSHION IS LIMITED. NOT A COMFORTABLE 2 HOURS TRAVELING CAR.

Bumpy ride, auto 4x4 sucks, wind noise from windows, speakers, seats 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review:
I replaced by Ford Explorer with the '06 Grand Vitara. It had 18K miles and I had to replace tires at 20K because they wore wrong must be an alignment issue. Seats are uncomfortable and adjusting steering wheel impossible. Gas mileage very good at 25 MPH versus 17-18 on the Explorer. Couldn't wait for snow and ice to try out the automatic 4x4 feature. This thing sucks on patches of ice or snow, shaking from side to side until it kicks in, then still iffy going down the road. Almost was pulled into oncoming traffic because of it. Took to dealer and they said I didn't know how to drive. Ya, right. Handles good after you floor it so the 4x4 kicks in but can't do that on ice. Handled good in pure snow. I'm getting rid of it as soon as I can. |

I like my vitari it's just the right size and has plenty of room for what I wanted. The only complaint that I have is with 25,000 miles on it it now needs new tires. I had my tires rotated every time I had my oil changed and noticed that my tires were wearing uneven. I took it for an anlignment and they said that they never seen a new car so far out of alignment. It must have come out of the show room like that. Now I have to buy new tires already. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara?

plenty of 'poop'(get-up and go). Nice seating position. Doors open wide. Leather seats are nice. Stereo sound is very good. Gear position indicator is handy. 17" wheels help smooth out crummy roads. short wheelbase makes ride bumpy. separate key in fob is cumbersome to remove eachtime. Up north remote start would be nice. 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review:

The Grand vitara is a nice vehicle and became a great vehicle once I saw the price and that it didn't look like a Suzuki. It doesn't have the cheap look like the Kia's and Hyandia or however thats spelled. The warranty is a great bonus as well. I thin k this is the best bang for your buck out of any smaller SUV |
