Top 5 Pros of 2006 Suzuki Forenza
Top 5 Cons of 2006 Suzuki Forenza

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
The exterior is very stylish.
The little engine can take a beating.
Okay gas mileage.
The interior is very roomy and comfy.
The trunk is huge and that's great for groceries.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Please don't use rubber lines for the brakes, that's a very bad idea.
The plastic door jams and handles require a different prep then the metal body and it looks like the manufacturer didn't consider that when painting the vehicle.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I have had my Suzuki for 3 1/2 years now and it's the best car I have owned so far.
Two people have learned how to drive clutch with the Suzuki and it took the beating very well.
The Forenza is also very quick for a little 4 cylinder.
The paint chips very easily on the door handles and the door jams. It wasn't a very big deal for me, all I did was sand it and put an actual plastic primer on them before repainting them myself but it is very unattractive if you don't know how to do something like that.
Recently I performed my 40,000 mile check-up on the car and I noticed that the manufacturer installed all rubber lines in the brakes leading to the master cylinder. The line was completely expanded and ready to burst because it was fatigued and the pinch clamps had failed. That is so dangerous and shouldn't be used.
All in all the car has been great for me and I hope to have it for many more years to come.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
- The styling is awesome, it looks like a larger car.
- It rides nice.
- Large interior and trunk space.
- Great brakes.
- Manual tranny fun to drive.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
- Better paint job, it's not horrible, but it's not great either.
- A little firmer ride, it's a bit bouncy when driving over bumpy roads.
- Better soundproofing.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
It's really not a bad car. I have not had any headlight problems, no breaking door handle problems, no shock strut problems, no engine light problems, and no warning light problems. I have had to replace 1 bent rim (which was no cost to me, they even put a tire with better tread on it, the dealer I bought it from replaced it for me months after we bought the car).
But I only have 35000 miles on it so we will see how it holds up. Most people are already having these problems before 35000 miles but I have not.
The car rides nice and it is fun to drive, it's not the quickest car ever, but it is not slow, I have the 5speed manual. It seems to me all these problems are coupled with the automatic tranny, so don't buy one with it!!
The AC is awesome, it's better than any car I've ever owned. The road noise and engine noise is a little louder than most cars this class, but again it's not bad. Overall I have been satisfied with it.
It is made partially by GM Daewoo, which obviously has come a long way because this car is really nice. I have no major complaints, it is a good car for a good price. We only paid a very good price for ours used.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Attractive exterior.
Roomy interior.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Needs better rims.
Fix RECALL problems for free (seriously!).
Needs better quality seats (especially driver's seat - not comfy for long periods...and I mean the seat itself, not the upholstery.)
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
My Forenza was a gift, and I am lucky not to have shelled out good money for this model. I wanted a Honda, but I got a Suzuki - and since it was free, and I was driving a clunker, I cannot complain. My sincere sympathies to those who purchased it themselves - it certainly seemed like a great car to begin with, especially for the price. What a gyp.
-Driver's seat belt was defective (luckily mine broke while still under warranty).
-BOTH interior door handles broke off (fixed them with JB Weld and they've been fine ever since.
-3 rims bent!! One makes sense - I drove into a deep, water-filled pothole - but now the two rear rims are bent FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I have to have them replaced (I'm sure it'll be $400, easy) and get the alignment fixed (AGAIN.) I don't drive my car on rough terrain, and I'm not a chronic curb-checker.
-Driver's side door paint scratched badly (cosmetic problem, but still annoying.)
-A/C is less than robust, esp. in the Florida heat.
-Headlights keep going out - I've replaced both several times.
-Also, I've changed the oil every 3,000 miles like clockwork, kept up with the fluid levels, rotated and balanced tires regularly, etc. In other words - it's been well cared for.
Grrr. Never buying a Suzuki again.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
- Lots of room, you don't think you are in a small car!!
- Great styling interior and exterior.
- Manual transmission is fun to drive.
- 4 wheel disc brakes.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
- The reverse gear will occasionally grind, but it has stopped, I think I wasn't pressing the clutch all the way down.
- Other than that, there is nothing to improve.
- Paint seems to scratch easily, but just take better care and it should be fine.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I love this car. It is fun to drive and seems to hold up well. So many reviews throw down on this car and I don't know why. If you take care of this car, it will work fine. Although I would buy the manual because the automatic transmission has many problems, I own the manual but everyone that has auto complains. It rides very nice even at highway speeds, and has nice handling. The engine noise is not bad at all, and there is no wind speed even at 95 mph. Great car for a great price!!

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
I love the color I chose, the space and the trunk a lot.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Everything material-wise, everything transmission and engine-wise!
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
When I first bought my car in Dec of 2005, I chose the color and trim level the car was ordered took longer then told to arrive and the dealership. The first day I got it, I loved it, was so excited - my very first New car. Two days after having it the check engine light came on - it had no power. Pretty much after 1000 miles, it was problems constantly and just down hill. They would fix it and right after I get it back it was just problems again. So I finally gave up let the finance company have it and paid off the loan amount which was 7000. I now own a 2008 Ford Escape and it's the best suv I've had - love it. Please stick to American made, not Suzuki. This car was cheap and dangerous.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Nothing really.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
It's so plain you couldn't pick it out of a lineup of one.
Everything started failing as soon as I bought it.: power steering failed. Interior door handles snapped off right away (all of them!!!).
Reluctant to start in cold weather, eventually in all weather.
Tons of "recalls" with no fix.
Horrible customer service at dealerships when asking about repairs.
Oh, and it has some little panel where if your car won't go into gear you have to open the little panel and jam a screwdriver inside. Yes, the manual says you must do this. I don't get why they would build this workaround rather than fix the defect, especially since the car doesn't come with a screwdriver and believe me you will need to keep one in your car at all times or get stranded!
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
This car seems nice for the price, but I gotta say this is the worst car I've ever owned, and I've had some clunkers including two Neons. I guess what makes it so bad is the disappointment factor- it looks nice enough (some reviewers have gone as far as to call it stylish-- I'd hate to see their wardrobe!) but as soon as you start using it it starts to fall apart.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Roomy interior and trunk..
Gas mileage...
Reliable...
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Paint and sound proof the cab better.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
This was my first vehicle that I bought.. I bought it with 30k on the engine and its now at 112,000 miles and still runs like a champ.. I had the interior door problem.. I paid the whopping 7 dollars for the part and fixed it myself (wasn't that hard honestly!) We are running into a problem with the power steering but I believe that WE broke it on accident.. I have never had a problem with the recalls because honestly what auto maker doesn't have them?? I wish it had a little more power but that's just because my other car is a sports car so it's a hard and unfair comparison. Overall I've enjoyed my car and will have it for a lot longer.. I wouldn't buy the manual - it seems to have all the problems.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
It can get up and go.
It has a lot of small features for a car of its price.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Suzuki needs to stop cutting corners and start with quality parts.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
My paint is chipping of everywhere, especially the exterior door handles.
My car chokes upon starting.
I am having problems getting my key stuck in the ignition and the only way to get it out is to move from park to reverse.
I also had to get my interior handles fixed due to them breaking off.
I was even shocked to run across the recall on my seat belts. I want to feel safe in my car and faulty seat belts are the last thing that I want to have problems with.
My car is 5 years old and only has 40,000 miles and it is already falling apart. Honestly the biggest question is what is next.
Lastly, good luck with the resale. The value is awful and no one wants it due to its transmission problems. Save your self, just don't buy one.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Great gas mileage.
Love the exterior.
Simple clean cut interior.
Spacious.
Price.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Paint is chipping off on door handles.
Have had to replace the alternator 3 times and it's going bad again...bad wiring or sensor somewhere. Not to mention the part is almost $330.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I bought my Forenza brand new in 2006. It now has 93,000 miles. I love that it gets great gas mileage--35 mpg highway. At around 37,000 the alternator went out, and again at 59,000 and now at 92,000 its acting up again. Had the seatbelt recall issue. Airbags light on all the time and dealership has reset it 3 times.

Guide: 5=Perfect; 3=Good; 1=PoorPros: What do you like about 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
It is a gas saver.
It is not a expensive car.
Comfortable.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
The engine light turns on sometimes without reason.
