It is cute and stylish with the awesome tint that came on mine.... Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
I have had my check engine light on for the past year on and off. Nothing is wrong with the car.
The rims that came on the car rusted and the tires needed to be replaced within a year of buying the car. Rims badly bent from small pot holes.
The air bag light will not turn off. 2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
All in all for that kind of money I was hoping for a better quality car. |

I have had no problems and outstanding fuel economy. The 5-speed car seems to be vastly different from the automatic in performance and fuel economy. Actually the car is very fun to drive! Great value for the $. Bought mine with 35k miles for $5900. Seems like a lot of car for the money (2006 Model). |

Better manufacturing!! 2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
Bought my suzuki in January 2008 with 16k miles on it with one previous owner and nothing on the carfax report... A month after I bought it I had to get new tires... A few months after that I had to replace the headlights and tail lights... Within the last 6 months I have had to replace the power booster, starter, window regulator, inside door handle, 2 vaccuum hoses, my airbag sensor won't go off, my check engine light comes off and on frequently and I've had it checked they can't find anything wrong with it, my tail lights go on power trips and flicker on and off constantly, it is extremely small...
I have had the car for 2 years now and it barely has 38k miles on it - this much shouldnt be going wrong with it... I've tried to trade it in and no one wants to take it...
This is not a good car. I'm scared to drive it, afraid that it will break down with me and my baby girl in it...
I highly DO NOT recommend this vehicle... It's a total piece. |

Do not paint the exterior door handles. It is chipping off and is unattractive! How about chrome or fake chrome or better paint! They should make good quality interior door handles. The pieces of crap have been replaced and one of them broke again. Instead of replacing it for free --Like they should (RECALL). They want me to pay my deductible $100 to replace it! 2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I have to have my strut assembly worked on. So, other than the recalled door handles, there has been no problems. I am the 1st owner and I have about 63,000 miles and doing fine. |

Shortly after buying, had to have transmission work done. The coolant sensor has gone out and the alarm goes off when it wants to and the car will lock and unlock itself so never leave anything valuable in it. All interior lights have quit working. Radio volume control on steering wheel works when it wants to and the dealership that we bought the car from wants to work on it so we have to take it to the next town (an hour away) to get it fixed under the warranty. Door handles have been replaced once, having done again because the paint keeps coming off. Will never recommend this car to anyone. Tried to trade it in and no one will take it. Sucks to be me, I guess. |

Better production of the car.
Better customer service when trying to get help with the junk that I'm trying to fix.
A better gas latch.
Better quality interior and exterior parts.

I bought my Suzuki in June of '06. Just 1 year in the transmission line broke on us and left us stranded at 2:00 am over 3 hours away (of course was not covered under the warranty). We couldn't check the fluid because in order just to check it you need to put it on a lift! That is just ridiculous. How do they expect you to keep maintenance on your vehicle if you cant even access the major fluids! Just a few months later our radiator went (which also revolved around the transmission). Again, not covered by the warranty. And now the latest, just the other day my shifting sensor for the transmission went and my transmission pretty much died, and again NOT UNDER WARRANTY!!!! Granted, I know it was a fairly cheap car in its own way, but when we all have to work hard for our money, $16,000 doesn't come so cheap. (The car only has 49,000 miles on it.) I find it ironic how all of these problems are surrounding the heart of the car and NOTHING seems to be covered. The door handle snapped just getting out of the car which turned out to be a recall along with the SEATBELTS!!! Someone hit my car last year in a parking lot. She was right next to me so she barely tapped me and it completely caved in my entire driver door. Needed the whole panel replaced. This is definitely the poorest made vehicle that I have ever seen. It's like they just slapped the cheapest parts under the hood and threw some tin over the frame and called it a quality car, I think not. Is this really a safe reliable car that you would trust your loved ones in??? UH, NO!!!!! I WOULD NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THIS <THING> TO ANYONE!!! |

I bought the car new in march of 06. The only issue that I have really had is that no matter how many times that the dealer fixes it, for free, the airbag light continues to come on. They state that it is because the sensor is below the seat. Crappy engineering. The car rides and drives much smoother than my previous 03 Protege, although the Mazda had it beat hands down in the sporty department. It now has 44000 miles and so far so good. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
I agree with power and mileage from many other reviews. Resale value is trash, so if you buy one new plan to keep it until it's paid for. I have the manual, which I think is better based on others reviews of the tranny, but the manual has very long throws and not very performance oriented. 2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
Good car for the money. No major issues, needs more power, yet better mpg. With all of the complainers, I am wondering what someone expects from a brand new car with tons of features for less than 15k. If you wanted a Honda or Toyota you should have shelled out the cash for one. |

I think alot of reviews short change the Forenza. I sat and drove alot in the class and interior trim, standard equipment and roominess were better in the price class (Dodges, Chevy, Ford) The price of new Toyota & Honda's sometimes make it hard to justify 2-3 extra thousand. (we will see it it pays off). Interior noise was a bit more than I like. |
