| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Saab 9-5? I have a 2006 sportcombi with a 5 speed manual shifter. Fun car that can be economical on highways.
Handling and performance with practicality what more do you want.
I have roof rails that has allowed me to attached bikes, a big luggage carrier, sheets of Ply wood, etc... Storage and portability have been no problem with this vehicle.
Love the comfort for long drives. Have made many 14 hour trips in comfort with my car. The passing power on the highways is very nice to help you leave traffic behind if needed. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Saab 9-5? I would have added is integrated TVs/Monitors in the back of the front seat, and also another cup holder up front for the passenger. The cup holder in the center console is not functional for me or I should say my passenger, because I use the arm rest when I drive. 2006 Saab 9-5 Review: Very good handling for the size of the car. Very surprised was thinking this would be a grocery getter, and not have the performance I was used to. The weight of the car is more than my last car, but the handling and stopping is as good if not better. That was a nice surprise. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Saab 9-5? Could not ask for a better car for the dollar. Powerful engine yet frugal with gasoline. Tremendous torque and overtaking power. Reliable car, fantastic seats, the best cargo capacity in it's class. Fantastic in wagon form. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Saab 9-5? Engine idle a little rough when cold. 2006 Saab 9-5 Review: Fantastic car/proven technology/modern updated touches. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2006 Saab 9-5? It's a Saab. Great to drive, especially manual. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Saab 9-5? Better interior quality, quieter inside, less firm ride 2006 Saab 9-5 Review: Driving my 2006 9-5 after trading a 2001 9-5. It still drives like a dream, and that's why I love Saabs. Saabs are driving cars, great for colder climates, and have a quirky personality. I've driven well over 120 mph and the car wasn't even phased. All in all, the car is virtually identical to the previous one. What's better: The ride is tighter and the shifting is cleaner on my new manual trans. More horsepower. The new radio has more bells and whistles: midband adjuster now in addition to treble and bass. Multiple equalization settings for rock, talk, pop, etc. 36 presets on the radio mixing XM, AM & FM. Speed adjusted volume can be altered. 6 Disc in-dash CD changer. Price is lower than last year. Good fuel economy. What's worse: No wood around the shifter on the lower center console. Metal Saab plate on the door is now gone. Dash seems somewhat diminished in build quality. Instrument dial surrounds look cheaper. Seat heaters only have 2 settings (down from three) and they're not quite as warm on highest setting. Gas cap has no remote release anymore - it locks when the car is locked but opens from a dimpled finger opener when the car's unlocked. No cargo net in the trunk and between the driver and rear passenger compartments. Overall, however, I'm happy with the car because of the unique Saab character like the center console key, night panel, trunk pass through, but most of all because it's fun to drive, especially fast! |
