POWER, PERFORMANCE, IT RUNS WITH THE BIG V8 TRUCKS, GREAT LOOKS. I GET MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THIS TRUCK. I HAVE THE DARK RED SEV6 CREW CAB. I HAVE HAD FORD, CHEVY, DODGE AND TOYOTA NONE MEASURE UP. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Nissan Frontier?

I bought a 2006 LE king cab in July 07 used, with 11K miles, have put 10K on it since. No complaints - beats the stuffing out of my old 96 Sonoma V6. I like the high seating position, comfortable but truck-like ride (not mushy) and great performance. Sometimes I forget I'm in a truck, as its quite sporty. This is the best looking of the mid-size trucks, and seems quite solid, 21K miles in. |

happy overall, there are some quality issues though. the odometer knob broke off in mine, and the cloth seats are already showing signs of wear The engine just doesn't sound very good. But for the price i think it's a great truck that i will be driving for years down the road. |

install skid plate over auto trans.better body integerity.tail gate hinge and latches are tinney,headlights to dim,flaps are to narrow i had to extend them,small back seat area,gas milage,too much plastic in cab.rear end locker use in 4 high or 2 wheel drive. 2006 Nissan Frontier Review:
i bought nismo for off-road use i like it over-all but no skid plate on auto trans.is dumb contacted factory no answer. but dealer stated if i install after market trans skid plate voids warranty for that reason my next truck will be a toyota |

The power and ride are a definite plus. It doesn't bounce down the road like my Tacoma did. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Nissan Frontier?
Not worried about the back seats being small, if I wanted it to fit 4, I would have bought the double cab. I would however, put in a better standard stereo/cd. Sounds very cheap. 2006 Nissan Frontier Review:
I've owned the 2006 4X4 king cab for about 6 months. I have no complaints about the powertrain. I do agree with the other reviews about some noise when the truck bounces a little. I have the automatic transmission which feels very smooth on shifting. The looks of the truck are also sharp and looks very sporty. I've tested the gas milage on several occasions including only city driving and only highway driving. I am averaging about 14 in the city and 19 on the highway using 89 octane. The highway number is using cruise control most of the time and keeping it around 65 mph. I also like the idea of it being American made, I just wish the rest of the Ford/Chevy owners were aware of where it's made so I don't have to listen to all the riceburner comments. I would definitely recommend this truck. |

I own a 2005 model year extended cab NISMO Frontier so my opinions are based on that. I love the truck, but there are three pretty annoying issues on my frontier. First, that the passenger side jump seat falls down if I brake hard or go over bumpy terrain (Even with the revised jump seat locks). Second are the squeaks and rattles, especially when I have my rear sliding window open. Something squeaks/ rattles alot around the rear window area. Third is rattling sound from my manual tranny (if I am in neutral or have the clutch pushed in) when going over bumps. My dealer tested another frontier and reported that this was normal for the manual tranny. |
