| Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
I feel there was an issue with the way the cars trans was geared. Felt as though it was geared for city driving. Rpm's ran too high on highway trips - four cyl had rpm at 2800 at 65 miles per hour. Improve on trans gearing.
Engine was very loud. I do not think car engine would hold up very long. 2006 Mercury Milan Review:
I bought 2006 Mercury Milan used 25,000 miles. Was not very pleased - engine noise for a four cyl was horrible. Drove car to Lexington Va. my son was following with 2006 Toyota corolla 65 miles per hour rpm's in Milan 2800, all you could hear was the motor. Gas mileage was poor. Was very unhappy with car. Also turning radius to the left was horrible - needs a foot ball field to make u turn. Traded car in after 6 months. |

The engine noise on the 4 cylinder is very bad.
The gas mileage is sorry. Mine gets around 24 city and highway.

I LOVE THE RIDE. I LOVE THE SLEEK LOOK. THE MILAN HAS MORE ROOM THAN YOU THINK. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE TRUNK SPACE Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
I WOULD LIKE AN ASH TRAY AND CIGARETTE LIGHTER. THE AWD VERSION APPEARS TO BE A BIT HEAVY ON THE GAS, BUT THE MILAN DOES HAVE A VERY BIG TANK. AND THEN, THERE'S THE OIL COMPANIES. 2006 Mercury Milan Review:

Milan I4 good milage 5000 mile check was 29.5 ride comfort looks good sound system large trunk steady on the steering. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
The only complaint I have is the engine when it is cold its noisy. 2006 Mercury Milan Review:
Irate it a 10 all around. the milage on a 5000 mile check was 29.5 city hiway mix. It warms up quick in cold weather.head lights are beter than my 2003 tarus I liked my 2003 tarus but the milan is up scale all around. |

new, nice get up & go w/v-6 & 6-speed trans and still not losing fuel MPG. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Reduce the interior road noise, especially tire slap on the payment w/ some of the zepher noise abattement teqniques. For a few dollars, would substaintially make it a leader in its car class. 2006 Mercury Milan Review:
Its a shame that Ford allowed the taurus/sable slide and eventually become a non-competitor and auto depreciation loss leader among the competition. Ford does not foster name brand loyalty like honda/toyota. Its actually a disgrace for an owner of taurua/sables since 1987. |

Love it the way it is. 2006 Mercury Milan Review:
We picked up our new fully loaded Mercury Milan Premier V6, on May 9th. Ours is Dark Blue Pearl Clearcoat with two tone black and medium light stone leather interior. It has every option offered at a sticker price of $26,290.00 I was able to purchase our Milan under the "A" plan as brother in law works at Ford. This knocked off around three grand off the price. We LOVE THIS CAR!!! It has a look that is truly unique...a cross between a Mercedes and an Italian sports car. The interior is second to none in comfort & has a unique luxurious look. The 17" extra wide Michelins on 14 spoke wheels look really classy with a very smooth very quite ride. This car drives it self. It handles well in the city and on the highway. It looks like it is moving even when it is parked. The AUDIOPHILE SOUND SYSTEM has superb sound. This car is a real head turner. I can't say enough good things about our "New Milan" Before you buy a new car, you must test drive the Milan. I will say that we first drove the I4 and did not like the sound of the 4 cylinder. The V6 is very quiet and well worth the extra cost compared to the I4. |
