Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Make it RELIABLE!!!

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
As the critics say, the finest vehicle on the road-- WHEN IT RUNS. Unfortunately, most of the time it doesn't. Nor are the service departments able to make it run. That is why I reluctantlu rate the car an overall "2" in spite of the many admirable features.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Much better handling than previous models of E class. Much quieter. Good visibility.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Electrical systems that work properly. Larger side view mirrors.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This version of the E-Class handles much better than prior years, and it is much quieter. Unfortunately, the electrical problems that plagued prior years don't just continue in the 2006 model, they are actually far worse. This is a great car, if Mercedes would only fix, once and for all, the electrical problems. Frankly, it's unbelievable they still put cars on the road that have this many problems.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Navigation system...ability to plug in our I-Pod into the sound system...feels safe...Perky engine...styling

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Continue to work on electronics. The air conditioning system will suddenly stop working and come back just as suddenly. 7 speed tranmission keeps slowing the engine when you take pedal off the gas.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
Looked at all the Japanese cars like Acura RL and Infiniti M35. The E350, at first, seemed much less featured. This turns out not to be true. the car may lack voice activated features but it has everything else. Love the cruise control which actually brakes the car when you slow the car down. Would highly recommend the car.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Acceleration and suspension.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Put the armrest back in, use material which can be easily cleaned at the lower door openings, don't patronize customers by automatically moving the passenger seat so far forward it becomes unuesable, make the third row seats optional so as to provide secure, covered storage when back seats are down

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
Ordered in June after driving 2005 demo. 2006 arrived with no arm rest; roll top desk top instead. After 5 weeks, driven it only about 100 miles. When I go to use it I think "sore elbow," and use a different car. I have a C240 wagon and until recently a CL600. Both had a plastic runner at the bottom of the door opening. This one has fabric - great for attracting stains. Mercedes appears to consider its customers incompetent when it comes to lowering the back seats. An interlock moves the passenger seat forward, after which it might just accommodate a five- year-old. All kinds of hassle to overide this interlock so as to be able to use the seat. Wonderful vehicle spoiled by dumb design.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Harmon Kardon sound, seats, dash design, interior/exterior design, premium and appearance packages.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Offer Sirius antenna somewhere besides on trunk, touchscreen navigation, cooler feature in console.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This car replaced a 2002 BMW 5 series. I just could not warm to the new 5 series interior/exterior. I never owned a MBZ, but this car is great. Quiet, serene ride and good handling, feels very competent and secure on the road. Nice interior is dignified and well done, with a touch of sportiness with the Appearance pkg. The 7 speed V6 is smooth and has plenty of power, Seats are first rate and I no longer get lower back pain on long drives, like I did in the BMW. This car is a wonderful combination of comfortable cruiser with enough road manners to make it fun to drive. I wopuld not get it without the appearannce package - makes it look so much better - in and out

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Diesel

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Better high end stereo. I'd use Bose like in my CLK with subwoofer and a better middle arm rest

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
The CDI at 34 mpg on my last 3600 mile road trip can't be beat. I do miss a middle armrest but the distronic seats make up for it. The car is fast. I do find the Harmon Kardon radio a tad less bass capable than I like

Less tire noise. Add more power

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This car is the best highway cruiser I ever had. After 53 cars, it??s smooth and except for tire noise it is very quiet. The tire noise will be fixed with non high energy tires. My mpg is 30. The suspension is controlled but stable and conforming without being hard or soft.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Power, style and fuel economy. I got 39.1 mpg on a 300 mile trip @ 70mph+ and have been getting 29-30 mpg in suburban driving.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
If they put this diesel or the new Euro diesel in an ML or E wagon with AWD. I will buy another to go with the sedan.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
The power and sophistication of this diesel motor must be experienced to be believed. Why M-B does not offer this motor in more body styles is beyond me.

Diesel Engine COMAND w/Nav Harmon Kardon 430 watt stereo German handling

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
More standard features.. such as leather, and sunroof!

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
Great build quality, interior layout and handling. Quiet engine, as well as wind noise at high speed due to high tech diesel and .27 drag coef. Handling is best I've seen in a 4000lb sedan with road tests give it a .84 skid pad rating.. With 17" 245/45 wheels/tires it almost handles like a sports car. I am getting over 40 mpg consistently at speed over 70mph in freeway milage.. amazing.

Keyless Go is a real convenience. You just come and go without fishing for your keys, and you start up and stop at the touch of a button!

More storage space in the center consol.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This car offers a great ride coupled with outstanding fuel economy, good looks, and a social conscience. Sat, Nav, sound system are all top quality. Worth every penny!

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This car handles better than my previous E 500 (2003). The power is virtually the same below 60 mph and it feels more responsive in spite of its' AWD. I also have an S 500 and this car is more fun to drive. I road tested the new GS AWD and the M35 of Lexus and Infiniti and this car was the winner.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Cruise control adjustment in 5mph increments - only thing I miss from my BMW.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
Bought the E320 CDI to replace 04 BMW 530i. The difference in quality are amazing, for a $50k+ car the BMW is cheap and tacky inside. MB feels like it costs a lot more. Fuel consumption made me get the diesel, after test- driving both the gas and the diesel. The torque is stunning. Averaging 33mpg combined so far.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Built-in phone system that downloads phone book to dash computer while, great sound system, glass roof in both front and back of cabin. Pressing the gas pedal is quite fun as well.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Smoother shifting from the 4MATIC transmission would be nice - sometimes it feels just a wee bit clunky.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
I got this car in Feb 2005 - one of the first 2006 E350s to come off the boat in America. I had held off choosing between the 2005 model year E320 and E500 because I felt that there must be a better solution with more horsepower than the E320 but less cost than the E500. Sure enough, waiting one model year was worth it, because the E350 hits that sweet spot right between the old E320 and the E500.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
I dearly love the car, if I can keep it out of the shop. It is the small things, like keyless go has given me fits (three service visits). Now the steering wheel up and down module is out (6 hours of labor). Other small things have gone out. I love the power, the economy of fuel, Sirius radio, GPS, and comfort, but overall quality stinks.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
The engine, of course, is my favorite feature (the torque!). The auxiliary heating that comes with the CDI engine puts out warmth within seconds of starting the car. I did not expect this as a positive aspect of owning the diesel. It's a great feature if you encounter freezing Winters, like I do.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Plain Jane styling, particularly the side view, still needs to come up a notch. A good-looking car, but not particularly striking or beautiful. It needs more character infused into its looks. The stock wheels are also uninteresting - especially for a car with this heritage and price.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
The E320 CDI is top notch and well worth the 50G+ price tag. Acceleration is smooth and effortless, the interior is attractive, quiet, and comfortable. It is literally a pleasure to drive back and forth to work. If the power, ride, and handling don't lift your spirits, the sound system surely will. This car has become my private decompression chamber. I look forward to driving it each and every day. It has that quality of ride and handling only the Germans seem able to pull off - firm yet compliant, and tight yet not punishing or noisy. It's as though the bad elements arising from the road are edited out, yet you're still left with outstanding feel and handling.

The GPS. The dash and information center.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
Make it available in all wheel drive. Being old fashioned I would still like to dip sticks to check oil and transmission

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
This is my second E-model turbo diesel. I was happy with the trade on my E- 300TD. This E320 CDI exceeded my expectations for overall quality and roadability. There are a few options I feel should come with the car but all in all I feel its a 9.5.

Can't think of any except maybe putting the engine into a CLK convertible

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review:
The E320 CDI is a real driving pleasure, comfortable, amazing pick up and accelaration and a wonderful stable driving platform - minimum roll at cornering. A car to enjoy and keep
