2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?
Everything, but I must admit, I speced mine out and did Euro delivery. I probably have the only 6 speed C350 sport with no sunroof in the USA.

The second day of ownership, I was doing laps on the Nurburing. After 6 years of ownership, the car has had no failures. Regular maintenance and a full set of brakes, battery, cabin filter and lots of fun.

I like the quiet ride, and the speed.
I have C280 4 matic.

Get rid of the fake leather and make items a standard on the car (like leather, navigation, cd changers, etc.).

I especially like the C230's ride; looks, in and out are great; seating for average build occupants is excellent.

Improve the automatic 7 speed transmission.

2006 Mercedes C-Class Review:
Coming to a stop where the trans automatically downshifts from 2 to first gear in the Sport mode, it jumps noticeably. In Comfort mode, it does the same from 3 to 2. I was used to the smooth shifting of the 5 speed trans of the C230 Kompressor Coupe. Otherwise I would have given the top rating in performance.

Milage is about what my Kompressor Coupe realized—about 20 MPG in the city. I just purchased this one year old, pre-owned vehicle with 30,000 miles on it, in September 2008. I paid top dollar for it, but it looks and runs like new. So far so good.

Have owned a 2000 C230 kompressor, a 2004 C230 kompressor, and now a 2006 V6. I am very satisfied with this car. Have also had BMW-3,5, and 7 series over the years and like MB the best overall. I'm 58 years old so have had many cars.

Can't think of much now that they've added an actual temp.gauge. But do wish they'd kept the MPG of the kompressor--got as high as 38 mpg on 2004 C230 sedan, belive it or not!!!!!

Having had sports cars all of my life, the C230 allows me the convenience of a small sedan without losing the sports car performance I enjoy.

cupholders in the front and better cup holders in the back. cups aren't secure in the back holders. The car jerks during the first few stops and sometimes during the ride.

2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review:
This car needs to have a smoother ride. You would think a luxury car such as mercedes would provide a great ride no matter what class.
