Bought the 3I in shimmering sand, no leather option so the dealer had the interior done at a custom shop in matching sandstone color leather--really nice. The 3I is a very nice handling car with decent fuel mpg. Test drove a honda civic- no power. Test drove a toyota corolla, the wife pulled over after 1 mile and said I should drive. Test drove a 3I just right! Notice how the toyota and lexus models now resemble the 3's front architecture! |

More Torque, better rear wiper, trade the red gauages for something more legible in bright daylight. 2006 Mazda MAZDA3 Review:
Fit and finish are excellent, very agile throught the twisties. Solid engine performance but could stand a little more torque. Have driven over 5000 miles without NO problems, not even a rattle. An excellent balance of performance and practicallity. |

Plenty of zip and go with the 2.3 liter engine. Good suspention if driven aggressively. Styling is sporty without being over the top. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mazda MAZDA3?

I have owned two Mazda 3s; one 2.0 sedan and now a 2.3 wagon. The Sedan was great except for the oddly shapen trunk (I'm a musician) and the wheazy engine. Opt for the 2.3 liter if there is any addrenaline in your blood stream. The wagon has a very usable ammount of cargo room with power to boot. Now I just have to convince myself I don't need the Mazdaspeed version! |

Absolutely surprised by handling and performance with our 5-door Took it to HPDE events and ran with cars I thought would leave me in the dust considering I was using the shiftable automatic. Cornered with Miatas and Minis, just got out torqed on the straights sometimes. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mazda MAZDA3?
Tire is hard size to find. And when you do take out a loan. Set of 4 OE Good Year RSA's will knock down over $900 by the time you leave the shop. $1,000 if you put on the road hazard coverage. 2006 Mazda MAZDA3 Review:
Car is more fun than it looks. Measured the inside with seats down and then measured my folks Ford Escape no real difference. Have used it to haul loads from Home Depot with no problem. Would seriously consider the new Speed Three for HPDE events but my wife wants to keep the one we have. |
