Better cup holders, coin holder, for $35K I wish my car came with memory seat. Also have 'popping' sound coming from the middle dash around the AC vents and center console. Lots of brake dust.

Remove the NAV system "safeguards" and allow the driver to program while driving. Mercedes, BMW & Acura do not have this silly obstacle that no doubt was instituted by the Toyota lawyers.

Traded a Mercedes E-Class for the IS (reliability) and couldn't be happier. Excellent vehicle with tremendous value.

The overall look of the IS as well as the powerful engine and quality material used for the interior. Another great feature is the interior lighting.

Of course, more room for the occupants of the back seat. A full size spare tire (like the G-35 has)and a higher quality "stock" sound system.

2006 Lexus IS-Series Review:
I previously owned a G-35 and traded for the IS. Don't get me wrong, the G-35 is an excellent car, but when you sit in the Lexus, you really SEE and feel the difference. Overall I am extremely pleased with my car (have owned for 6 months) and love every minute I'm behind the wheel. (I haven't allowed my husband to drive it yet!)

Technology, sound system w/iPod jack, finest navigation system in the industry, fit and finish, no problems at all in 10,000 miles so far

Rear seat room obviously, being able to see both artist/song and also radio station display at the same time w/XM radio -this is irritating.

For safety- blindspot indicator, For convenience sun visor extension. slightly larger back seat. cooled and heated seats still too weak, should have stronger blower.

OH what a machine. Finally metal from Lexus that makes your heart miss a beat.

Drove a '01 BMW 325 and looked long and hard at the new 330, but ergonomics and engine in the 350 trumped it everytime. Enough to overcome slight handling deficit. Finish is great and remote key system is wonderful to use. Good value, wonderful dealer system, joy to drive.

Tire noise on 18inchers, extendable sun visiors, folding rear seats.

This car loves to run and Lexus' attention to detail makes it great to drive. Everyday pleasures such as exceptional turning radius and seating further enhance the experience.

More sporty feel than other Lexus cars in the price range. Good ergonomics and A/C controls, Bluetooth hands-free feature. Smooth and quiet engine compared to almost any other car.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lexus IS-Series?
Less road noise would be nice. Nearly all the sound heard inside is from tires on the road. Not real loud, but louder than the engine or wind noise. Maybe the higher profile 17" tires are quieter than the 18" sport tires.

Longer tread life on the tires that come with the car. I would make memory seats and power tele/tilt steering wheel standard.

2006 Lexus IS-Series Review:
Overall impressions after four days is that it is an impressive car, almost as comfortable as the ES 350 or GS 300, but much more fun to drive. I am getting used to the GPS Nav system now, and can find my way through most of the menus. We looked at the BMW 325i, the Cadillac CTS, the Acura TL, and the Infinity G35, as well as the GS300 and ES350. All are fine cars, but the IS 350 had more performance than the others, almost as tight as the BMW, and quieter and smoother than any of the others.

Sales reps for all but the Cadillac were very knowledgeable and professional, answering all questions directly without criticizing any of our other prospective cars or trying to hard sell us, often being very complimentary of the competition. No harrassing phone calls, but always available for additional questions or another comparison drive.

the looks, man, this is such a well proportioned car from almost any angle.

A touch more room at the rear. extensions for the sun visors. Blindspot indicator.

I walked away froma serious accident with a truck, an suv and 2 other cars after owning the IS 350 for 2 weeks. The car was written off but I walked away unharmed. I would love to own one again. This car was well built.
