The handling is like nothing I've ever driven.

Better ground clearance for the 4x4, this sits as low as a car. Can barely jump a curb.
Possibly try to improve gas mileage.

The transmission shifter assembly has been in for repairs in late part of the 2007. I am having the same problem again in Jan 2010. You would think that if you have the same problem with the same thing that is wrong with the vehicle they would fix it with no cost or at least 50% off. It is going to cost me almost 1000.00 to get repair. I only have 30200 miles on the Jeep also. My rating would be 3.5 stars.

Other then the shift assembly going bad a every few years. The Jeep is good to me. I will keep it providing I do not keep having the same problem in another 3 yrs.

This is my second Jeep. My first Grand Cherokee Laredo drove until it had almost 200,00 miles and only the last year did I have any major expense with oil leaking. I hope this jeep treats me the same.

should come standard with reflex wiper blades and should have a tow rating of not more than 4000 pounds

My Jeep is a great car for my wife. It's fine on its own and handles well in all weather conditions but it's not too good at towing a small RV on our trip out west. We were passed by a little old lady driving a VW bus pulling a large trailer load of water. The jeep just couldn't go any faster.

I loved having my jeep, until the problems started. Since 27,000 miles we have had nothing but problems.

I would so much change the jeep itself, but I would definitely change somethings about the Chrysler Corp.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
You know, I think we might have gotten a lemon. At 27,000 the transmission went out, and instead of replacing it, they rebuilt it. At 39,000 the transmission started acting up again. They checked it out and said it was fine. A week later we had an $800 tune-up, and 2 days later we were stranded in the middle of the desert. The transmission had gone out again. We were towing a small U-haul trailer, total weight was about 1500lbs. We averaged 8-10 mpg. Chrysler covered $100 of the $450 tow cost, and didn't cover the repair either.
Our A/C went haywire. It only worked in the highest setting. We took it in, they said this was a common issue, Chrysler was aware of the issue and had come up with a fix, but still didn't cover the cost. Now the rear seal on our engine block is leaking and surprise, surprise they don't cover that either. This is alot to deal with, not to mention all of the little issues we've had, ie..windows, airbag, calibrations in the front seat, the dealership in Yuma,AZ not tightening the oil filter enough twice, and several other annoyances. I will never buy anything from Chrysler again, and I tell everyone that will listen all of our issues and encourage them to never purchase Chrysler.

Interior IS TOTALLY CHEAP CRAP, SCRATCHES WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT AND IT WILL NOT LAST. Chrysler cost cut the interior TOO THE BONE!
