Pros: What do you like about 2006 Jaguar XJ? I've owned my 2006 XJR for three years now. Bought it new. The Best Super Luxury Car for the Money, Sexy, Sleek, Safe, Standard features you find as an expensive option on other vehicles. Powerful 400HP with matched six speed ZF transmission very smooth gliding shift almost un-noticed either in cruising or hard take off mode. Electronically cuts off at 155 MPH, even at that speed it feels like you are doing 80, so smooth. It Red Lines at 6000 rpm. and you can hear a very distinctive and throaty growl noticeable in an XKR. Plush cabin you would expect in twice the price vehicles, e.g. Bentley, Rolls, great gas mileage considering 400HP 4.2 V8, Light Super alloy Aluminium body without the sacrifice of the ride, (this car is more solid than X300 body style) super fast on takeoff, super fast for coming to halt (thanks to Brembo Brakes) super cool looking 20" Sepang wheels. Undeniable handling for a big sedan (thanks to the eCATS). Cons: How would you improve 2006 Jaguar XJ? Cons: Price drop after initial purchase. Too much of an underestimated vehicle maybe because of its past history. Short Warranty.
How would I improve 2006 Jaguar XJ?
Well it's too late now with the 2010 oddball XJ on the way to the U.S, but if we could rewind to the X350 period, I would: 1. Make the Warranty 5 years 60,000 miles. 2. Use higher quality leather in more expensive and exclusive models, more choices of designer interiors to match the exterior colors. 3. Use more expensive and elegant exterior colors that are offered by Bentley or Aston Martin on certain XJ's (Vanden Plas-XJR-Super V8). 4. Keep the market value high, to retain its exclusivity among commoners. 5. Make a better chrome window surroundings to age in 40 or 50 years with the vehicle and not before it. 2006 Jaguar XJ Review: I get genuine compliments wherever I go with this car, and people mistake it for a Bentley sometimes. From a base model XJ S.W.B to the Master ring leader XJ Portfolio,X350 XJ's are exclusive vehicles "Kudos to Ian Callum and his Retro Offspring of a British Classic". I could have purchased an S63 AMG MB, a B7 Alpina BMW or an S8 Audi when I bought my XJR, none landed on heart like this sexy cat, even though the competition was pretty fierce with cars that may have had more power. But to this date I have not regret it. |
