LOOKS GOOD STRONG ENGINE AND TRANS Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe?
CORRECT THE FRONT END NOISE WE HAVE HAD SINCE DAY 1.BEEN INTO SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES, MANY PARTS TIGHTENED, SOME REPLACED AND STILL THERE. NOW WORSE THAN BEFORE.AND WE NOW HAVE OVER 30K MILES ON IT.VERY NOISYDRIVING ON UNEVEN PAVEMENT AND SOUNDS LIKE THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL IS HITTING MUDFLAPS WHEN TURNING LEFT BUT WE HAVE NO MUD FLAPS. tHIS NOISE WAS NOT THERE UNTIL HYUNDAI FIXED IT LAST TIME. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE.THIS IS AFTER THEY HAVE REPLACED A FEW FRONT END PARTS, AND TIGHTENED THE FRONT SUSPENSION BECAUSE IT WAS LOOSE, WE NEVER TAKE IT OFF RD SO I DONT UNDERSTAND THAT 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
THIS PROBLEM WITH A NEW CAR MAKING SO MUCH NOISE AND NOT BEING CORRECTED FOR THE LAST 25,000 MILES IS BAD. mOST OF THE TIME E WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE LET IT GET WORSE |

I just leased one. Ride and features compare favorably with Honda and Toyota. Perhaps not as refined, but for the money, a great deal in mid-sized SUV's. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe?
More comfortable seats, reduce windshield noise. 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
Acceleration and handling in normal driving are excellent. Road noise from pavement is less than my current Honda Pilot, windhield noise is somewhat greater at high speeds. Equipment level for the price is excellent. Crash test results and long warrenty are a huge plus. |

I have had my Sante Fe for 6 months and feel that the vehicle is a very sound and solid SUV. It handles great, rides very smooth and for a 6 cylinder, has a lot of pep. I feel safe driving it. We have a lot of winds that are very strong and the vehicle never swayed once. The interior is put together nicely, very roomy. All in all, I would buy another Sante Fe when I am ready to trade it in. A very pleased consumer. |

I like the fact that I got leather and a sunroof on a new SUV for under $20k. (after rebates and sales price) I like the 5-sp tiptronic transmisison and the 3.5L engine is great on gas, but has plenty of pick up. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe?
The only thing that I would change about the Santa Fe would be to make the passenger side seat power as well. Besides that, perfection! 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
I bought a used Santa Fe and within six months turned around and purchased a new 2005 Santa Fe LX. The power is perfect for the size and the gas mileage is great for an SUV. The car handles very well and has a sporty feel to it. It is easy to park and easy to drive. It is high enough for good clearance, but still stays on the road. The pricing allowed me to get all of the features I wanted for a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with this SUV and recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-sized SUV. |

Better gas milage (I know, I know, it is an SUV, but still...) and PLEASE Hyundai, make the passenger seat with power controls too! 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
I think the vehicle is great in almost every respect. The only problems are gas milage and the initial quickness off the line for this type of vehicle. If you like to launch off the line when the light turns green, you know what I mean. The midrange acceleration is quite good though. It is great for passing on the freeway etc. Overall, this baby has a lot more pep than I expected from a V6. It handles like a car and yet it has pretty good ground clearance for taking camping trips. This is also where the roof rack comes in handy. God for your tents, chairs, sleeping bags, etc. |
