2006 Hyundai Azera

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Hyundai Azera?
I have had my Azera since Oct 2010. Put on 14000 and so far no problems.

Very quiet on hwy, very good in the snow. Car now has 63000.

Lot's of power for passing, very nice sound system tight & clean.

Engine is very responsive at low to high speeds.

I wanted a car that handles well but also gives a comfortable ride, this car does that. Car will not out corner some, then again the ride is very good.

Sunroof open at any speed is very quiet, unlike some vehicles I have owned.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Azera?
Transmission changes from first gear to 2nd too early unless given almost full throttle. I want to get the car going without so much throttle. Most of the time car shifts to 2nd before getting through an intersection. I had dealer reset transmission to learn my driving habits, to no avail.

Suspension is noisy on gravel roads otherwise works well.

Auto power windows will go down when button pulled to go up at times.

Just ok on the gas - could be better.

2006 Hyundai Azera Review:
I'm sure we would all love to have the perfect vehicle to drive, never any problems, lots of power, quite good handling etc etc.

This vehicle is fun to drive yet luxurious enough to give you that spoiled feeling you may have been wishing for, but not willing to part with a big sum of cash to get.

Would I recommend this vehicle or buy another Hyundai? So far the answer is Yes. My last vehicle had 424,000 on it. I hope this one will do as well. Time will tell. My rating for what it's worth. Very good!

Love the interior, it is comfortable and roomy, plenty of bells & whistles.

Much too soft suspension.
Front end clunks on uneven roads.
Headlight low beams offer poor visibility on undulating roadways.

My Azera has 49000 miles on it. Recently replaced tires. All recall and TBS have been done. Plan on another 49000.

Provide a more sports sedan tuned suspension rather than a mushy soft under carriage.

2006 Hyundai Azera Review:
For a very cost conscious consumer the Azera provides comfort, above average creature comforts and performance; however, the suspension and electrical systems on this year model are sub-standard and need to be addressed. Hopefully the newer Azeras and the Genesis models have addressed and corrected these unfortunate issues.

Bought 2006 Azera w/19000 miles on it one year ago. We had rheostat replaced four months ago and now having same problems. Headlights dimming, dash lights flicker, AC and fan quit. It took three trips to Hyundai dealership to get it fixed in February 2009. Now, ready to leave on vacation and we can't drive it as lights almost go out.

Suspension is too soft but Hyundai has made adjustment on 2008 model.

Poor. I purchased my 2006 Hundai Azera and have had to have the air conditioner compressor replaced, the fuel injector, spark plug, entire computer, and the car issues are still not resolved. Hyundai has not been supportive. The reply from their CSR, was the repairs do not cost me anything .My dealer asked them to buy back the care, but they refused, as the number of miles. I purchased the Azera for the warranty, but I have had my car 9 months and it has been in the shop for over 30 days in the last 40 days.

Quite and stiffen suspension, improve gas mileage.

I have suspension noise that dealer can't or won't fix. The thumping noise over bumps drives me crazy.
