2006 Honda Civic Coupe

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Honda Civic Coupe?
Styling... very modern... I love it!
Instruments: Everything is where it should be (for me).
Great gas mileage! I average between 32 and 36 mpg regularly!

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Honda Civic Coupe?
I got the LX model... should have went with the EX.... I would have liked the trunk release on the keyless remote, split folding back seat instead of all or nothing, trunk hinges that don't interfere with luggage space, and dashboard plastic that doesn't scratch so easily.
Also, a bit more room for back seat passengers would be nice!

2006 Honda Civic Coupe Review:
A very decent handling car... very fun to drive! It is definitely for those who are not too tall/large. I'm 5'6"/med. frame and it fits me just perfect. The instrument panel took some getting used to... never had a car with a digital dash before... but it grows on you. I got the stick shift and the ratios are nearly perfect... but the shifting itself... notchy if you aren't careful.
I've had it for almost 3 years with no problems whatsoever!! I'm very pleased!
Not a sports car but rather a sporty economy car... I'm fine with that.

Clutch feel and street appeal are great.

A six speed manual and standard dogs would have been nice. And 25 more horses would be great. But I am wholeheartedly satisfied.

This is a great car, good handling and the dash is AMAZING!
It has a pretty smooth ride and a great look, it is a good car to fix up and look nice and fast.

Blind spot is a bit intruding and the backseat needs a little more elbow room.
Other than that, awesome car!

2006 Honda Civic Coupe Review:
Before I got the Honda Civic 06, I had a Honda Fit 2009 that I wrecked, and then soon bought a Honda Civic lx coupe, and sad thing is I like the Honda Civic more than the 09 Fit. I recommend looking at the 06 and above models of Honda Civics. They are great!

Blind spots are a given with the styling, you can't have everything!

Sporty and sleek with a modern look.
Ample acceleration.
I like all of the controls for the radio, cd, mp3, etc.
Digital speedometer is accurate.
BIG trunk for such a little car.
Awesome MPGs (39 hwy for mine).

Horrible (horrifying) blind spots in the front and rear of the car in all four corners. When you go around a turn you have to physically lean forward or back to see around the pillars where the windshield meets the body.

Definitely needs a trunk pop on the keyless entry system.
The steering wheel squeaks and creaks.
The car alarm doesn't sound when the window is broken into.
Uncomfortable seats.

Ok. I would have much rather had a 4 door with less obtrusive blind spots.

I love the exterior styling and the aggressive stance. The car handles great. The interior fit and finish is generally excellent. I drive 85-90% highway mileage (my commute is 90 miles a day round trip) and I've gotten about 38-39 mpg on each tank.

I like the emergency brake where it is. It provides a place to rest my right knee when the cruise control is engaged. However, Honda should put something on the handle to provide a cushion for the knee as it rests against the brake handle.

The dash layout is odd at first, but after driving this car for a year, i think its fantastic! I have the EX model with automatic transmission. Power and braking are good. I get about 35 combine city/hwy gas mileage.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Honda Civic Coupe?
The pillars on the front windshield are too wide and gives me a rather large blind spot. Too much road noise inside the cabin.

Overall great small car, i wish i would have bought the navi model with a stick shift, but besides that im pleased.

MAJOR Blind spots due to the length of the windsheild and thickness of the frame where the air bags are running along the windsheild. I am also replacing my tires at only 18,000 miles, with no warranty coverage. I expected better. Also had a bad CB joint that was repaired under warranty.

I like the car on the whole, but I am concerned that it will not hold up over the long haul as I had expecected from a honda product. I own a 2006 coupe EX.

styling, performance, economy. Fit and finish is excellent. Looks and feels liek a more xpensive car

standard fog lamps, and a must is a trunk release on the keyless remote
