Pros: What do you like about 2006 GMC Yukon?
The ride.
Options - mine has everything but a navigation system.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 GMC Yukon?
More horsepower (the 295HP 5.3L is weak).
Needs dual exhaust, cold air intake, different headers and a better mass air flow sensor.
Also, needs independent suspension. be nice if the rear captain's chairs would slide back and recline.
Wind noise is a problem, especially around the OnStar antenna.

2006 GMC Yukon Review:
It's an alright vehicle, for the price I paid ($53K) not worth the money. Very disappointed in the Professional Grade.

THey should have put back up sensors on it or if eqipped with nav put a camera in the back

The Yukon works like a dream. Load up 8 with gear and the Correct Craft behind it and it is effortless even going into the winding mountain roads of Napa.

Heated seats are a real luxury. Airconditioning works better with a roof window. You're able to get out all the hot air first.

Cargo cover was a bust. Paint on center console is peeling! Wish there was a camera to see back of car with.

Raise the roof a bit for a little more head room. seems a little low. If the DVD had a larger screen option and could be installed behind the drivers headrest it wouldnt obstruct the rear view mirror.

2006 GMC Yukon Review:
Our family purchased a new Denali XL in September and are very pleased with it so far. The navigation and XM radio are great features. Very functional vehicle and well appointed. The extra money you pay is for the features you dont see, stabilitrack, automatic leving, auto- folding mirrors, and the 6.0L engine, and side impact airbags. With 4 kids, this is one of the few vehicles we could fit into and still have room to bring home the groceries and shopping bags. Only thing so far is the fold down rear entertainment DVD obstructs the rear view mirror when the DVD is in use. You have to get used to using side mirrors if the kids are watching a movie.

The comfort and ride is unmatched for its class. The Denali beat out Excurison, and Surband hands down.

My favorite features are the DVD player and navigation system. They makes those long car trips nice and quiet and less stressful.

would love to see a rear camera so I can better see what is behind me while backing up. I would also like to have a door locking button by the back hatch.

This our 3rd Yukon and I have had a great experience with each one! Between carpooling and out of town trips we are in this truck all of the time and it is always comfortable and reliable!!

6.0 Motor, throaty exhaust (not too obnoxious), interior and exterior trim, DVD/XM/Nav, Heated captain chairs in the rear

2006 GMC Yukon Review:
I traded in my 04' 8 CY Touareg and have not looked back. I test drove the Escalade (Couldn't justify the extra $$$ for basically the same ride - Keep the back-up sensors and fancy center console clock and I'll keep the $8K), Yukon and Z71 and this one was the winner by far. Only 80 miles on it and it already gets about 12 MPG (Better than VW) and it isn't even broken in yet! Ride, interior, quality and power are all top notch. DVD/Nav/XM Radio package are a must, especially in the mountains where there is no FM signal. Captian chairs in the rear are like sitting in a recliner.

The navigation system works like a charm. I really like this feature! The sound system is also fantastic. It features XM Radio, OnStar and, one feature even tells you exactly where you are located....ie...longitude and latitude!

2006 GMC Yukon Review:
This vehicle is fun to drive and, turns many heads. I get compliments on it every time I take it out on the road. Gas mileage is even better than what the manufacturer states because I used 5w30 synthetic oil at the first oil change. Presently I am getting 17 miles to the gallon on a combined hiway and city driving.
