2006 GMC Canyon

Pros: What do you like about 2006 GMC Canyon?
I like the look of the Canyon's exterior, and the 5 litre engine has more than enough power for my needs.
The key lock on the tailgate is nice.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 GMC Canyon?
Add passenger side key access - maybe GM limits key accesses to two and they used the passenger one on the tailgate. ;-)

Fold up rear seats. I use that area to carry cargo more often than I carry passengers so I would rather have the floor space.

2006 GMC Canyon Review:
The interior looks cheap and the seats are uncomfortable on long drives.

The appearance of the exterior is an improvement over the Sonoma.

Overall, it is a decent truck but I'm not sure that I would buy another one without some improvements.

What I like about mine is the extended cab and the rear sliding window, the 5 speed manual trans. It rides low and when it comes to moving it ranks right up there. With some weight in the back, winter driving is problem free.

I would include key access to the passenger door, for some reason my truck only has key access on the driver door. This is embarrassing when I have to walk around to gain access from my door , reach over to unlock the passenger door then expect my passenger to open their own door.

Key entry to passenger side door lacking. Had I noticed it when I picked it ip I would have demanded a lock be installed. I drive my Mom and several friend around and being the gentleman that I am, I would like to open the door for them first. As it stands I have to open my door first, reach over and unlock their door from the inside leaving them waiting... not the most appealing scenario.

The Canyon Crew Cab is a fun truck to drive around in. Handles really well (4x4) in snow. A little lacking in space for 3 kids in car seats.
