This car is a real nice car. I totaled my first one, which was a 2005, and a beautiful color red. People gathered around it to admire it. The second one did not have all the wonderful features, but it drives like a baby Cadillac. I wish I could have gotten another red one, but the gold color one is fine. I love it. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
Lately, it has not been starting like it did when I first got it about a year ago. But I still love it. |

Windshield defrosting problems, no help or solutions.
Could use some chrome wheels.
Ours has no body side moldings resulting in easy door dings. 2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:
Do something about the poor windshield defrosting and add side moldings to protect doors. Otherwise pretty good bang for the buck. |

I am 62 years old and have owned plenty of performance and luxury autos, I find my 06 Five Hundred Ltd to be a top of the line auto in looks and performance.
It has like they say lots of headroom (i am 6ft 2in tall) and I can enter and exit this car without any problems at all.
It is an eye catcher when it is being driven.
I really like the performance when you want to get going in a hurry.
My only problem was with the dealer, they were supposed to do some superficial repairs and did not do them. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
I truly believe that this car is right up there with the Lincoln models and is one of Ford's better cars made to date.
No need to change this car if they were to build the same model again. |

Lots of Interior room.
The trunk has the best designed opening size and inside space cu ft of anything. Other vehicles have a large trunk interior but the opening size is cramped.
Great gas mileage on regular fuel.
Seating level is perfect. Easy to get in, easy to get out! I have to drag myself out of my Acura.
I have a 500 Limited and it is fun to drive around curvy roads like the Dragonstail at Fontana North Carolina. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
Road noise could be reduced but is less than the Acura I have. 2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:
We love our Ford 500 Limited. We were rear ended while stopped at an Interstate Exit. The car suffered $11,000 in rear end damages and we walked away. I think it is such a safe car.
We are selling our Acura and buying a new 2010 Ford Taurus Limited. The new 2010 Ford Taurus has built off of the 500 safety features times 10. It is a Sexy exterior and interior. Acura, BMW,and Toyata can't touch it! Ford is on top for a while ! |

I get 23/24 mpg city/29 mpg hwy, lots of head room inside and trunk. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
I've had some problems with this car but FORD, not the dealer, did stand behind the car. And when I buy another car it will be a FORD. I now have almost 84,000 miles on the car and I only buy American cars. |

GREAT DESIGN, SHOULD NAME IT FORD "SUPREME". INTERIOR DESIGN IS GREAT FOR SHORT AND LONG LEGGED PEOPLE, HAS LOTS OF HEAD ROOM AS WELL. THE RIDE & HANDLING IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE DRIVEN, I AM 66 YEARS OLD AND HAVE DROVE OVER 3 MILLION MILES. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
NEEDS MORE PEP. MAYBE A LOWER SPEED REAR END. I WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE. |

I like the awd and the cvt, also the tight feel, I picked it up for under 13000 dollars also less than 18000 miles. A lot of car for the money. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?

The gas mileage is great I drive 120 miles round trip everyday for my job and the car does great! Very comfortable to ride in and I have a car seat in the back and there is plenty of space! Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
The only problems I have had with mine is that my windshield broke under pressure from an ice storm and the molded mud flaps broke off after a few months. I have not even had my car for a year and I bought it brand new and the dealership would not file it under warranty. So needless to say both problems are still broke. 2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:

Gas pedal is at the wrong angle and not enough stiffness to rest your foot on. Gives shin cramps. |

This is one great car! Better acceleration than my 2000 Grand Marquis. The Limited model has an outstanding array of extras. Love the adjustable peddles and automatic presets for seat, mirrors and pedals. Gas mileage is very good (I consistently beat the EPA mileage figures in highway driving). Add stability control, most of the component features are already included. 2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:
Quiet, roomy, responsive with great visibility. Using a combination of tachometer and CVT application to adjust speed has provided up to 32 mpg at 55, 30 at 60, 28 at 70 and 26 at 75 in interstate driving. Stop and go city traffic is a mileage killer but suburban driving is 17 to 21 mpg depending on traffic. Passing on the interstates is a breeze with pickup you wouldn't believe if you didn't watch the speedometer. |
