Strong engine (5.4) & chassis combo.
Great styling.
Gorgeous interior.
The best handling pickup I've ever driven, and trust me, I've driven a lot. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford F-150?
More cab storage.
Better gas mileage.
Better HVAC.
I have dark blue exterior w/ black interior. The a/c has allot of trouble keeping up in the Georgia summer heat. C'mon Ford, you can do better than that. 2006 Ford F-150 Review:
The Super Crew FX4 is a great truck overall. I use this truck for business travel and accrue about 50,000 miles per year. It's a comfortable spacious ride. My last truck was a 2000 F-150 4X4 which had 280,000 virtually trouble free miles when I traded it in. I hope this '06 holds up as well. |

I think the 4.2 has plenty of power, I pull 5,000 lbs well. I feel the clearcoat should be thicker, rock chipping seems to be a problem on the exterior, that is a problem where I live gravel roads and all. |

| 2006 Ford F-150 Review:
Our 2007 Ford F150 4x4 just hada cruise control failure and total brake failure. The cruise control speeded up, the engine rpm's rev up and the cruise control would not shut off by braking or pressing the cruise off switch. The vehicle had just crested a mountain when this happened. The speedometer pegged to 120 mph. The only way the vehicle was stopped was by turning off the ignition switch cand using the emergency brake. Have you had any such problems? |

Almost everything.Interior exterior. Big box with high sides (6.5 foot).Did not need the sliding rear window,but. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford F-150?
Gas pedal time lag with the 5.4 is a PIA.
Odometer is in a poor place and should be adjustable between metric and standard.Radio volumeknob should have a light in it. 2006 Ford F-150 Review:
I still give it a 4.8 out of 5. But then I only have 5533 miles on the 2006. |

I have the XLT Crew Cab version with a full size 6.5 foot bed. Started out looking at SUV's with the wife, but we fell in love with this truck! Everybody is happy it is an excellent ride with plenty of room for family vacations and it is an awesome truck. |
