Having a problem with my starter and a vibration or rattling which sounds like it's coming from under the hood.
The cheap plastic interior and the space between the seat and the console is very hard to clean. 2006 Dodge Durango Review:
I am in love with the vehicle but the rattling has me a little worried even though I was told that everything is tight and in place, and my starter will need to be replaced soon, but it won't cost too much. |

Paint peels off of the bumpers.
Front seats have cracks in them and the seat belt covers fall off!!!!!
Rear facing car seats cannot go behind driver side otherwise seat cannot go back very far!!! 2006 Dodge Durango Review:
We traded in our Jeep Cherokee for a Durango. We were looking for more room and more of a family SUV. We have had nothing but problems with the paint and the plastic on the front seats cracking. Our lease is coming to an end and dodge is going to make us pay for the paint and the seats cracking. The quality of this vehicle is very poor and my husband and I wish that Dodge would accept responsibility for the quality and not charge us for the paint and seats. It's not our fault the plastic seat can't hold 250lbs and that when you hit a big bug or wash it the paint falls off!!!!! |

I just purchased a silver 2006 Dodge Durango. The exterior is beautiful. Lots of room up front. A big truck and it makes a statement!! I see a lot of them on the road! Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Durango?
Make the third row seats. I need the DVD as well!!! It shakes a little when sitting still. I wished all my windows were tinted and not just the back ones. 2006 Dodge Durango Review:

DVD keeps the kids quiet.
Rear side doors open out to a full 90 degrees.

I have had my Durango for three weeks now and the plastic on the side of the front seats is cracking. My wife broke the seat belt cover off first time she sat in the vehicle at the dealership. Come on Dodge! And better gas mileage would be nice. 2006 Dodge Durango Review:

every car should come with alarm and keyless entry this day and age. mine did not. i brought it from a used dealership and they told me it had an alarm. when i went to my local dodge dealership they said it did not come with keyless entry or an alarm so i had to get one installed.
also it shakes when i first start it up for a while. i'm not sure what that's all about. 2006 Dodge Durango Review:

Isell dodge for a living, the dodge durango's biggest complaint is the fuel economy and plastic interior. My only suggestion if the consumer wants luxury interior,trade it in for a crysler aspen, same vehical, just a differant name. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Durango?

I like the sleek looks and the ride is great. A loaded Durango is a great value as compared to the competion-American and foreign.
The optional navigation system and the DVD are GREAT!
For our family and our needs it is the perfect size. It is not so big that my wife won't drive it. I am 6'5 and I have ample room in the vechicle. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Durango?
Although easy to wipe clean ,I think that less monochrome "hard" plastic in the interior cabin would enhance the interior. 2006 Dodge Durango Review:
Overall the Dodge Durango has proven to be a good choice for our family. It rides well on the highway. It is easy to park and manuver in the city. I have averaged around 14 mpg for city driving.
Dollar for Dollar it is the best deal going.
Pulling up next to the larger,plusher American and foreign SUV's I'd sometimes wonder if I made the right choice. After researching the "bottomline" price of other vechicles with the same options I am certain that I made the right choice. There is nothing that higher priced "bling " SUV's can do that my Durango cannot do!(for at least $10,000. less)
After 7 months of ownership, visits to the dealer have been few(only one). There was a service bullentin identifying a potential problem with the wiper blade motor. the problem was addressed while I was getting a routine oil change. |
