My 3rd caravan. All leased. Uh, my last leased! Uh, my last!
Cargo carrying capacity. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan?
Cheap bumper plastic. I have had to replace twice @ $600. each.
I have NEVER had to replace windshield wipers. I did here at 7m miles!
I have never had to replace all brakes, rotors, etc. I did here @ 23M miles.
I have never been tagged with a $450.00 lease turn in fee! Never! That sucks! And, no credit for low mileage! F & I really did a job on me!
The front drivers seat is truly a NUT buster! Wrong height! Ladies NP. 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan Review:
So far, the engine is running well and I have no transmission problems. The steel, I am told by certified mechanics, is foreign and the rotors score to easily. In one word, cheap! and I am not talking about the price! |

Problem with my van: After cornering it seems to have the brakes applied or like the emergency brake is slightly applied. Has any other van owner had this particular problem. The dealers do not seem to be able to find the problem. They replaced the brakes but this failed to fix the problem. |

Stow-n-go is perfect! Has been very reliable, gets just over 19 mpg which seems good for a van of that size. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan?

i have a 2006 grand caravan sxt special editon. my daughter lives 1250 from my home. i made three trips back and forth in this van.
i found it to be surprizingly comfortable fuel effiant and plenty of power.
since i'm getting older i like the power doors, the searwarmers and the sirius radio. the grandchildren love the dvd.
i have always owned a full size conv. van so far i wonder why. |

Dodge invented the minivan, so why does Honda or Toyota think they can make a better minivan. Whenever the fifth generation of Caravan comes out it's gonna get the whole public. Stow and go seating. The seats were hard as rocks when we got the van, however, they still have not "broken in" the way a dealer claims they will. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan?
If the front seats do not fold into the floor, they could be constructed of a better material so that are more comfortable from the beginning. 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan Review:
I have been less than pleased witht the performance of this vehicle. Steering is loose and out of control when traveling on curvy roads. Dodge still uses rocker switches for windows, children have been killed using these things. They have put them on a vertical surface which increases safety, however it also decreases ergonomics. Airconditioner and radio controls are too low and force the driver to look down, nearly to the floorboard. The power sliding doors are also in need of improvement. Setting these things aside, the van drives well on straight roads and the stow and go seating is a good idea, however the seats are uncomfortable. |

The cup holders are a nice feature in front and back. CD player really sounds great! Also the under seat storage is great to have. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan?

We've only had the van for a couple of weeks. The gas mileage did work out to be 26 on the highway and 20 in city. The pick up on the highway was much better then expected for a 4 cyl. It runs like a 6 cyl. The bench seats are easy to remove and change around. Plenty of leg room (front and back) and comfortable ride for long trips if you're in the bucket seat in front. We do have the tinted glass windows. This is a must with the way the wind shield is being so large and angled. Your legs do get warm even with the tint. We would recommend this van for anyone on budget that needs a van. It is affordable and perfect for the homeowner that does dry wall. |
