2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Review:
Beside being the worst piece of junk I've ever owned, my review is harsh. I replaced brakes $500 after 34,000 miles. I had AC repaired for $900 with blowing hot air after driving it for an hour. I'm currently having the AC looked again for AC shutting off during idle. The supposed 3 year warranty from Lithia Chrysler is costing me $119 for a diagnostic test and I'm anxiously awaiting the cost to repair. Do Not buy a Chrysler.

I love the style and the feeling you get when you drive it. I feel taller.

As I've seen, every one says the gas mileage could be improved. My thing says it's averaging about 23mpg, but it doesn't seem like it.

Overall, I really like this car. I have only had older cars in the past. This is my first newer one. I have been very concerned about the car when it idles it will jump - I think when the compressor goes on and off with the a/c. This is the only thing that has scared me about this car so far.

It is so low on the ground. On two occasions I turned around in someone's driveway (in the city) and front end dragged and knocked off little unnecessary plastic thing below front bumper.

2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Review:
I bought car 19 months ago. I have put only 10,200 miles on it during that time and it has been in shop 3 times. Gas tank was replaced, (crack on top), radiator fan replaced, thermostat replaced. Overall, I am very unhappy with it.

Interior and exterior are very nice and stylish.

Brakes and rear lights (should have been a recall on the rear lights). I have had nothing but problems with them.
Fabric seats stain too easily.

I love the exterior and the way it "looks". That's about it. Also like that I can park it anywhere...lol. They only need an oil chage every 4,000 to 5,000 miles--really. My oil is clear. (that is good ladies).

Idles loud. Car sounds like it will fall apart.
Replaced battery and starter after only 65,000 miles. Bought the car at 35,000 miles at a dealership mind you...
Replaced rear brakes. You should only have to replace your rear brakes ONCE every 100,000 miles. Replaced front brakes and rotors.
Replaced tires. Very expensive, 450 dollars.
These cars stain easily. Bad material used inside the car.
Replace tie rods, and front control arms. 150 bucks a pop!! :(

2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Review:
Bad gas mileage, too much work on the suspension system, and the tires are damn expensive. I was very disappointed after I bought this car. The CD player does not want to play burned discs. I regret ever buying it.

The brakes make a horrible squeaking sound. Sometimes it sounds like someone running their nails down a chalk board.(shutter) Took it to the dealer. They said the brakes are in good condition and squeaking brakes is normal for a PT Cruiser????
Seats stain real easy.

"READ" MY CAR HAD ONLY 2600 when these problems stated. We have had more problems with this car then any other. We had to replace 7 new sets of tires. Do to the Drive train and front axle going out. Had to have it replaced. Then the air cooler went out. The CD player Works only when it wants. The brakes have been changed completely twice. And now the turbo has gone completely out. And there is only 43000 miles. You talk a LEMON NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BUY A CHRYSLER. With every thing we have done with this car.

POOR GAS MILEAGE ONCE GOT UP TO 22 BUT FRIEND SAYS SHE GETS BETTER WITH HERS, I THINK IT TURNS LIKE A TRUCK. MY FOCUS WAS MUCH EASIER TO DRIVE BUT COULDN'T SEE OUT OF BACK. HATE THE WINDOWS HAD IT THREE YEARS AND STILL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THEM.
