So far it is a very nice car, have it for one week. Seems solid, I do some race car driving and this car gives me the same safe feeling of a car set up for competition. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
Blind spots are a problem, maybe install a rear camera, mud flaps, a little longer seat bottom in the front for tall people. Hide that ugly black muffler in the back. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:

Transmission should be smoother in gear transitions. Automanual shifting should be forward/backward direction, not right/left, which is awkward. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
I purchased this car for my wife who is handicapped by a spinal problem. The seats are tremedously supportive and comfortable, more than any other vehicle we tested. The Pacifica is well-appointed, and for an American car the interior has remarkable fit, finish and a feel that rivals German manufacturers (Daimler's influence is evident). The handling is excellent for this large, heavy vehicle- it rides flat around curves and responds briskly with very slight FWD understeer, yet bumps in the road are virtually undetectable, thanks to the titanic tires and suspension. The seating arrangement is somewhat quirky but very original, and makes the vehicle stand out from the other clone SUVs, vans and crossovers. |

It's really a great niche vehicle. Just wasn't ready for a minivan and the rest of the SUV and crossovers were either too small or not luxurious enough. Our new Limited comes close to being the ideal right now (with ALL the options and AWD). Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
Why,oh WHY does this car have a four speed automatic? Why not a CVT or at least a five speed auto? Another 30-50 hp wouldn't hurt, either. The gas milage could use a boost. The interior is better than most in terms of quality but it's still not close enough to the fit and finish of some of the finer european and japanese models? We Americans don't seem to get interiors AT ALL and not just Chyrsler. GM is the worst with Ford a close second in terms of cheap-feeling interiors. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
Not bad over all. A little pricey once loaded up but I won't buy base models, it's just my thing. I don't think getting into the third row is as difficult as some say and I've been in all of them. The Volvo XC90 had me positively fetal and I'm just under 6', same with the B9 Tribeca. I'm going to miss my 2003 Subaru Outback LL Bean. It was just too small and that darned B9 Tribeca is just not signifigantly larger than the Outback to justify staying with Subaru...man, I'm tearing up. I love Subarus. This doggoned Chrysler better hold up for the next few years and if so, I could grow to love it. |

I had ordered the Sirius Radio which is a very nice feature however, the display is not as complete as you normally see with the satellite radio. For example, it does not display the song title or artist just the channel. Seats are very comfortable Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
I would recommend ordering the backup up sensors as it is difficult to see when you back up and there are signficant blind spots. I get a new car every two years and by far this is one of the best. Order the roof rack as space can be limited for gear if you travel with a large group. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
Thought I would offer my comments on a 2006 Pacifica as there is so little information on them. I had ordered mine on the first day they accepted Fleet orders and took delivery five days ago. Already have almost 600 miles on it. The biggest complaint I had heard related to fuel economy. So far I have averaged about 20.6 MPG. It has been a mixture of city but mostly highway driving. It is a joy to drive and my kids were wild about the way it looks. . |

Believe it or not, Heated Seats. This has Four of them. The sound system is incredible. The kids watch DVD's wearing their headphones and we listen to music up front. Power liftgate is great also. Just push a button. The tire sensors are great lets you know when you have a problem. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
If I could say anything negative it would be the blindspot in the rear quarter window area. Just takes getting used to. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
Wow, what a great Car. It is quiet, gets looks whever you go. We were in Newport beach over the Weekend and this car fit right in. Ride is remarkable and the comfort features are more than adequate. With this car everybody is happy. Kids can recline the seats or move the seats back for more leg room, and the windows roll all the way down in the back. Our Pacifica is loaded with everything except Navigation. Who needs NAV. I am a guy I know where I am going. Nothing is better than driving a car like this and knowing you have a car with a five star crash rating. Easy to get in and get out of. fits everybody comfortably. Fit and Finish is way above standard. We Love our Pacifica! |

The vehicle is a comfortable drive, looks classy and has enough room for myself, my 3 children and all of the belongings that they insist on piling into my Pacifica at any given time. I also love the versitility of the vehicle, I can take it anywhere and love it!! Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
I have one complaint about the Pacifica and that is that the blind spots on the drivers side are significant, to the point that it is nearly impossible to see anything at all. I traded a 2005 Chrylser 300 Touring in on my Pacifica, I bought my 300 3 weeks after they hit the showroom floor, while it was definitely an eye catcher in the looks department, it just wasnt my dream car, 2 weeks after I bought my 300 I had the opportunity to drive a Pacifica, I was hooked and wanted one, my husband told me that I had to drive my 300 for a year, (I bought the rear wheel drive model)I endured a modest Pacific Northwest winter, where I discover that the 300 wasn't worth much in the snow, and decided that I was going to get a Pacifica. I did and as winter approaches, I eagerly anticipate driving my all-wheel drive model, it is comfortable and beautiful as well as practical. |

My wife and I arew so thrilled with our new Pacifica...I owned a Nissan Maxima that carried the HID headlights and got hit (stolen) around 3 times. This last time I ended up having to rent a Pacifica...The minute I drove it off the rental car, I fell in love with it. The style, speed and comfort are superb...We love the features of the 26U packages and we love our 17 chrome clad wheels... We saved around $2600 by using the Edmunds.com invoice price list...this combined with the right timing can safe you hundreds and gives you less time to spend at the dealership. |

I love the interior and the looks of the Chrsyler Pacifica. BUT, I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle, the transmission (electrical). The dealership has been great, but until it holds a code, nothing can be surely fixed. I will not buy another Pacifica, EVER. Terrible luck with vehicle. |

Change shift point on one-two shift. Feels like it misses a gear, as in a one-three shift on a manual trans. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
A real joy to drive, especially in the mountains. The all-wheel drive is sweet and makes cornering a breezing at speed. A bit slow after the one-two shift unless under full throttle. Ample room and interior seating is fully adjustable and folds easily. Cargo space is cavernous and we love it. Expect only about 17-18 mpg in denver commuting or 75mph interstate driving. |

Easier access into the back seat. Some manufacturer needs to come up with a middle row seat that folds down into the floor at the push of a button in order for someone to climb into the back. It's pretty tight egress/ingress but much the same as a minivan. 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Review:
The last time I wrote one of these it was in praise of my 2000 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 1.8t. Little did I know what a jinx I caused myself. Okay, the Pacifica is a nice car. One I wouldn't have ever considered but I hate minivans and with a new addition to the family, I had to get a bigger car. So far, crossing my fingers, I love everything about my Pacifica. I love the ride, handling, stereo, the navigation is awesome (though about 4 years behind the times in my part of the country), and the DVD in the back is great for the kiddies. I don't know what else to say other than, buy one! Hopefully, 4-5 years down the road I will still be singing its praise. |
