everything about the chevy uplander is amazing. My wife drives a honda odyssey and we fight who gets the chevy. The price too! A lot less expensive then the foreign jobs. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Uplander?

The radio/sound system sucks big time. Nissan quest needs to talk to Gm. Volume control to low can not here onstar because of the air sound from outside, speakers are distorted, children cannot enjoy movies because of the air sound and volume control is very low 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Review:

The extended hood and body style are great. The 17 inch wheels give it a more sturdy ride than the Venture/Montana. Love the DVD player/sat radio/audio system steering controls and the ability to have child sit in passenger seat and the air bag automatically disengages. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Uplander?
A/C system takes too long to cool the cabin down compared to other vans. Seats are longer than Venture/Montana so less leg room in back seat areas. No easy way to slide up 2nd row seats to access back row. Back row seats need to fold down easier. Rear view mirror vision obstructed by tall seats. 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
I really like the exterior look of the van. After driving it around town and on a long interstate trip determined that it handles very nicely in both types of driving (feels safe, too). Absolutely love the DVD player, satellite radio, and other extras like 17 inch wheels. The two tone leather interior is very sporty. I had to remove the rear storage unit since it took up too much storage space. |

Handling, acceleration, ride comfort, interior space, interior design, turning radius all need improvement. The silver rings around the dash board instruments make reading them very difficult, due to the glare. Buttons are not in convenient or logical places. 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
Overall this is the worst of many vehicles I have ever driven. Chevy attempted to combine a mini van with an SUV and came up with a vehicle that has the worts features of each. It lacks the 4wd and road commanding capabilities of any SUV, yet lacks the space and ease of entrance typical of other mini vans. Performance wise, this vehicle is a joke. Its acceleration is so poor as to almost be dangerous on many highways, and the V6 engine actually gets worse mpg than many Chevy V8 trucks. The suspension is soft, but there is too much travel. Every single bump is felt with a wave of motion, creating a very unsmooth ride. Compare this to anything else, such as a Mazda MPV, to see how it performs. |

Turns corners nicely. Back sensors come in handy, seeing how you can't see visually because of the van's design. The extra gadets are nice, if you can figure out how to work them. Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Uplander?
Add arms and more space around the captain chairs. Lessen blind spots. More power on take off. Re-write the owner's manual to better explain how to use the gadets. 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
This van doesn't have enough power to merge quickly onto the highway. The captain chairs don't have armrests and not enough room from the edge of the seat to the side wall. The air vents are hard to direct the air to blow directly on the driver. The third row bench doesn't stow away and almost impossible to remove and put back in, as a woman I can't do it alone. There isn't enough room behind the third row for all of my groceries and I have to stack them on the third row seat. Too many blind spots, especially for short drivers and when the the third row seats are up. This alone has caused me to be in 5 near accidents in 6 weeks.The DVD play skipped on our last trip w/ an new DVD in it. |

With great fuel economy, wood trim, and a standard DVD player this is by far a nicer minivan than it's said to be. Driving it was like driving a luxury car; no violent bumps. The front has a much nicer look than competitors. Though I'm not a minivan person, this is a great car. |

Honestly, I am very impressed with the interior luxuries of our fully loaded LT. Exterior is a little bizarre, but bearable. As far as performance, anyone who would describe any mini-van as "fun to drive" is really reaching, that, or they have not owned anything else. My van accelerates well and offers reliable safety - precisely why I bought it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trading the Benz in for another one... |
