Reliability is horrible. Worst car ever owned.
Replaced power steering unit twice, headlights flicker and go off and on at a whim.. dealer service dept. clueless. |

Downhill cruise control speed. Cadillac says cruise doesn't work downhill. 2006 Cadillac DTS Review:
I own a 2006 DTS III with adaptive cruise control, navigation system and bench seats. Cruise control has no control on even the slightest downhill grade, all it does is freewheel. Speeds can become dangerous and tickets are possible. cadillac says use brakes, why have cruise? Shift lever covers 1/4 of navigator screen when in drive. Pretty chrome clock reflects sun to a dangerous point. |

Steering hard. No remote

Change "exit" setting to where the tilt steering wheel went all the way up. 2006 Cadillac DTS Review:
Immediately discovered that Cadillac put cheap ($51) Continental tires on their $50,000 automobile. Three of four tires were so out of round they could not be corrected. Cadillac would only replace with the same tire.
I purchased a set of Pirelli Nero-Zero tires at my own expense and Cadillac refuses to rebate the $204 value of the Continental tires that I returned to dealer.
Cadillac has stalled and not kept promise to return calls or make decision on a fair compromise-since 10/12/06--now Jan. 2007 |

Fix the brakes 2006 Cadillac DTS Review:
I have had to many problems with the brakes on this car. It has been in the dealership five times in the last three months. When brakes get hot on a long hill -the brakes fade and it takes almost twice as long to stop car.---
This car has very little engine braking power;making it nec. to apply constant footpedal pressue on any type downgrade.(poor engineering on GM' part).
I have owned 14 cad(amongst many other cars). probably will not buy another unless things improve.
This is the second car with the same problem.

mine was an ex-rental in black-i had to add xm and an amp,sub, etc. i LOVE the xenon lights which are very bright. I like the size of the thing for the price -high 20's to low 30's if you look for used. this is a great car. |
