In all honesty, it is difficult for me to identify areas of improvement.

2006 BMW X5 Review:
I am 52 years old and have owned/leased over 20 cars since becoming a licensed driver at 16. Obviously I have also been in and driven many, many other cars from all ends of the spectrum.

Without question the '06 BMW X5 3.0 is the finest car I have ever driven on all levels.

It has a handsome, timeless and classic look.

The interior is well designed without the frivolousness of many other SUV's. I want for nothing as it relates to amenities.

Handling is tight and responsive with a smooth ride. The X5 has just the right amount of power and performs quite well.

This is the first BMW that I have owned and I can now certainly understand why some people will drive nothing else. In my opinion, BMW has lived up to its well earned reputation. I love it !

2006 BMW X5 Review:
The X5 is the best car I have ever owned in over 40years of driving. I can't wait to drive somewhere because of the feeling I get when behind the wheel. I find myself handwashing it at least weekly and wiping off with California duster each morning. There is a certain passion about this vehicle that I cannot explain. I never experienced this feeling with other cars I have owned.

Absolutely love the look of the car. Leather/wood trim is gorgeous.

the sound system is an emabarrassment. For this amount of money 6-CD in-dash should be standard, as well as IPOD connection. That is a serios deal-breaker.

The car is beautiful. If you are a BMW-lover, this will not dissabpoint. But again the sound/navi system are horrendous for such and expensive vehicle.

2006 BMW X5 Review:
I am very dissapointed in my x5. I spent the extra $$ on the 4.4 and the car lags hestiates etc upon acceleration. I have always put in premium gas, but still a big dissapointment. Once I am beyond 3rd gear, smooth sailing. has anyone else experienced this problem?

This vehicle could use a bigger trani. In 2000 when the 1st one rolled off the floor there was a different and better transmission used. However, BMW still has not yet learned to LISTEN to their consumers. And, hense, will not be great, until such time that they do!!! BMW still has not figured out how to provide an in dash CD player with the navigation system... Who needs a cd player in their trunk anyway? Sure--we traveled 11 hrs to NC and loved emptying the car to change disks... WAKE UP BMW AND LISTEN TO US WOMEN AND WHAT WE WANT ...WE HAVE BEGUN DRIVING THE GREAT CARS AND THEY DRIVE THE CRUMMY CAR TO THE TRAIN OR BUS EACH DAY!!!!!

Power.... lots of it. Handling - awesome for a vehicle this size. Braking power - ridiculously powerful braking system

I would like to see more agressive exterior styling

2006 BMW X5 Review:
I love driving, and I mean driving, searching for the limits of my car in a twisty road that I have to take to go to work everyday, but I have never driven something like my brand new BMW X5is. It is powerful enough to climb any place I want, and it can go offroad with style too, but that`s not what this car is about. This thing is just perfect for those who seek true sports car performance and need a little more room in the rear seat plus go offroad some times.

Need to implement satellite radio or iPod connection not an option for the X5 with navigation. Whaats..up?

2006 BMW X5 Review:
Had a 03, 3.0 and loved it. Just bought a 4.4.Sport. Wow what a difference. BMW took out all the kinks from the old model. Real quiet inside, solid ride, agile, great acceleration. Get the sport package. Seats are more comfy. I drive this truck in n.y.c. Handles the roads unbeliveable. Fixed the annoying hatch rattle and now easy to remove rear cover. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Gas mileage sucks. But what is perfect in life? If money is an issue you don't deserve to drive this truck, sorry...
