The quality of the vehicle is poor! Mine is always in the shop, for lights going out. Windows that won't work. Warning symbols on my dash coming on. Just this week the rear window on my convertible came unglued from the canvas top, and I was quoted $2,400.00 to replace the entire top, because it can't be fixed. The guy at the shop said the only way to fix it was to replace the entire top.

It's fun to drive, and it's a tough little bug. I just LOVE MY BUG!!!

I can park anywhere, carry all my groceries in the (small to the eye, but very roomy) trunk.

Gas is pretty good too!! Buy One!! You'll enjoy it and save money on gas.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Volkswagen Beetle?
More visibility for the rear windshield. Too small of a space to see adequately out if you are backing up.

Also make the headlights easier to replace.

2005 Volkswagen Beetle Review:
I recently purchased 2005 Beetle from a dealer. Before I got it home a hub cap fell off. Then driverside window would not roll back up and air conditioning didn't work. Back up lights were out. Driving home in a hard rain the driverside windshield wiper fell apart. Found the CD player would not work. While on the interstate the driverside headlight simply fell off and was hanging by the wiring. This car is a piece of junk and I don't feel safe driving it.

I have a 2005 beetle convertible. I love the car, and am getting ready to purchase it, I have been leasing it for 4 years. Not sure whether or not to purchase the extended warranty, I guess better safe than sorry, right?

A little more umph (power), better cup holders, but other than that, it's good the way it is.

Overall, I love my red vw beetle convertible. I have been driving vw's since the early 70's, I have had many models.

WELL NOT REAL SURE BUT THE WAY MINE IS NOW SUCKS. DRIVE OVER SOME WATER AN OH MY GOSH THE INTAKE VALVE THE GLOW PLUGS AND LORD ONLY KNOWS WHAT ELSE IS WRONG WITH IT.

BETTER WORKMANSHIP IS DEFINATELY NEEDED AN A BETTER WARRANTY TELLING A CUSTOMER THAT BUMPER TOO BUMPER MEANS ONLY IF THE MANUFACTUROR MESSES IT UP. THAT REALLY SMARTS

I love its steering, gas mileage and overall looks. It is a great little car and is easy to learn to drive in. I was also surprised by the amount of space in the trunk and the fact that a six foot man sat in the back seat without any sort of complaint. I am planning to own a beetle for the rest of my life.

I would give the bug more comfortable seats and make folding the back seats down easier.

Better drink holders, trunk opening with only one beep would help. I'd like to see them in two tone colors and more of a choice in color, like deep black cherry would be a real eye catcher, or even a nice shade of purple.

Absolutely love it....can turn it on a dime, and it handles very easy. Everything is easy to find once inside and belted in. LOTS of VIEW from windows is a great feature. I love the sunroof and you can't beat the cloth heated seat feature, as it stays warm or hot, whichever you prefer, without fading out after you use it for a while, like the last car we had.
