The Saab Aero 92x is just the thing for senior citizens who want to recapture their youthful love affair with high performance automobiles yet not flaunt their second childhood in front of their neighbors. Encased in an attractive, upscale yet conservative, body lies the mechanicals of the firebreating Subaru WRX. This implies wonderfully responsive AWD handling, breathtaking midrange acceleration, near felony range top speed, and good reliability. And when you park the car you go back to being a responsible member of society. The only giveaway is the turbo scoop on the hood. Favorite Features: Good looks, very high build quality, excellent performance, unexcelled AWD handling, service at Subaru, Saab and GM dealers.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Saab 9-2X?
There are few downsides except the requirement for premium gas. This is the penalty for the adventure. Suggested Improvements: Could use a few practical accessories as stock items. These include driver's arm rest, better cupholders, cargo bay rubber mat, additional 12 v. outlet. All are featured on comparable Subaru models. Low end torque needs improvement to relieve initial acceleration turbo lag.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Saab 9-2X?
An updated body, better handling and ride quality, and quieter road manners from the WRX. Plus, it's AWD.

The seats are better than the WRX, but the interior is essentially the same. Saab should have made the interior more luxurious.

Lots of bang for the buck.Highly reliable. Easily modified for more power and handling, and can easily tackle and embarrass much more expensive sports cars.

I own two, and will drive these until they die!

i LIKE THE WAY IT HANDLES. IT LOOKS GREAT! IT IS ALITTLE HEAVIER THAN THE CAR i HAD AND THAT IS AGOOD FEATURE. i HEARD THAT THIS CAR IS PART SAAB AND PART SUBARU. Can't complain with the best of both worlds!! DB
