2005 Land Rover LR3 Review:
Land Rover is the most unreliable car on the market. Bought one off the lot at Land Rover for $40,000. Three years later it needed a new engine at the cost of $10,800. I asked the dealer what they would give me for it and they said $10,000 minus the cost of the repairs. So this $40,000 truck is worth -$800 3 years later?

Prior to that I had a Discovery which I bought from the dealer...over the course of three years it needed $11,000 worth of repairs and at the trade-in I got $3,000 for it....great resale value huh? Quality trucks? NOT...Land Rover is the biggest scam on the market!

Definitive styling.
Great interior versatility.
Leather wears very well.
Surprising suspension and ride comfort.
More than adequate engine performance (yet no race car).
Unbelievable Harmon Kardon sound system.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Land Rover LR3?
More affordable accessories for exterior.
Near perfect otherwise.

2005 Land Rover LR3 Review:
Great looking, solid British utility. I have loved every minute of driving it for 4 years now. No problems other than recalls that were performed while in for oil changes. I only have 26k miles and look forward to owning this vehicle longer than any other I have driven.

Everything! Best Cargo/People space , 7700lb towing, BEST on/off-road, Safety off the charts! Let's face it, if MPG is your complaint, buy a CRV, but the CRV or any other competitive vehicle can't do what the LR3 does! It's purpose built and is exactly what the engineers intended, all business! Love it or leave it, it's the best there is. Reliabilty is the best ever in a L.R. product and the lowest maintnenace requirements in their history, what's not to like if you love Land Rovers like I do?

A diesel powerplant, which is coming, would be awesome. Other than that, they got it right.

2005 Land Rover LR3 Review:
It doesn't float or fly but does everything else excellently! a record wading depth of almost 28", world first Terrain Response system(most highly rated 4x4 system on the planet!), EAS, climbs /descends 45 degrees and better, low center of gravity and Anti-Roll mitigation, solid build for safety, it's the worlds best ALL-PURPOSE vehicle. recover Hummer's with it often!

eliminate the breakable plastic trim-it shatters when the temps go below 0

500 lbs lighter and stripped of the rinky dink ford style plastic parts,cup holder etc
Id get another one
But with Land Rover being sold, probably not

Eliminate the plastic boxes in the back
Offer a decent rack system and a detachable hitch

Despite Powers very bad review on reliablity, not apparent at 7500 miles. It is so boxy that it is good looking
Seats give great visibility and it all feels solid
