mechanically sound, fuel milege is pretty good, stereo sound is good, handles around bends well Cons: How would you improve 2005 Kia Spectra?
seats aren't comfortable for long trips, carpet on floor is cheap, no leg room in the back seat 2005 Kia Spectra Review:
Our Kia was in the shop a couple of weeks after we bought it for the front ground effects falling off, a shake in the steering wheel at 55 mph and above, out of alignment and the passenger air bag sensor not working properly. We currently have 82,000 miles on this 2005 kia spectra 5. The passenger air bag sensor never has worked properly. I blame this on the service department at the dealer. We still have a shake or shimy in the steering wheel at higher speeds. Our Kia will not stay in alignment for an extended period of time. Tires wear unevenly. A lot of road noise. Can't believe you have to drive to a dealer for a rear wiper blade for $30. Paint chips on car are rusting already even though we keep our Kia waxed once every 3 months. Mechanically this car has given us no problems at 82,000 miles. Just change the oil and keep driving it. Peppy car for the small fuel efficient motor. Not a very plush interior and very little room for driver and 3 passengers. If you just want a car to get you from point A to point B and save you money in fuel, then this is the car for you. Dependable, but if you are thinking about buying a new Kia Spectra 5 then make sure you take a used one, a few years old, for a long ride before you purchase a new one. Test drive some other vehicles from different manufacturers. Find a good local dealer with a great service department, unlike the Courtesy Kia dealer in Alliance, Ohio. Their service department in horrible. |

the looks ,why it drives WHEN IT RUNS right Cons: How would you improve 2005 Kia Spectra?
bumper would be put on DIFF,not with plastic clips that brack easy and not under warrenty, few other moter things 2005 Kia Spectra Review:
my car has been in and out of the shop for ever ting from transmison,3 times,cruse contral 2 x,front end 4x,Still not right,at 18th miles tires werebad, gas door don't alwas come open, BUT it does hug the road great and is fun to drive fo the moter that it is, but don't go by what the warrenty says they are not good on that,and they don't wait fix things ,and wipers fro the back are 30.00 and up it is a kia thing only/ KEEP LOOKING or by close to you home so when it is not running right you can walk to work or get a other car.. |

fun to drive. nicely priced. have 37000 miles on it and it still runs great Cons: How would you improve 2005 Kia Spectra?
i've had a lot of tire issues... lots of rebalancing, and bent rims, i avoid potholes like the plague but its still a serios issue 2005 Kia Spectra Review:
