Interior and exterior design. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Honda Odyssey?
Get rid of The PAX tires. Seems like a fat car when I drive it. Hard to judge closeness to curb.
Transmission is tight when put in reverse from park position.
Seems to go steel to steel sound when put in gear, especially on incline driveway.
The ECO economy system for motor fuel efficiency seems alway weird sounding.
Engine light comes on in car a great amount. 2005 Honda Odyssey Review:

Too many Problems with the car. UnStable. Check Engine Light goes on again and again. Poor Customer Service. Parts and Service are very expensive.
Mechanics are not comfortable in servicing the vehicle. 2005 Honda Odyssey Review:

We have had a 2003 and now our 2005. The 2005 has louder road noise, the leather and carpet are not holding up well at all. We will not purchase another one. |

The 05 had a front end problem with shimmy. The dealer never could correct it. Appears to be a factory defect in the first models of the 05 2005 Honda Odyssey Review:

Window shades in the 3rd row, totally get rid of the PAX tire system. 2005 Honda Odyssey Review:
This is my second Odyssey. I loved the first one (2000) and bought another in 2005. I of course wanted the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. It's a great car and very spacious for my family. I had only 2 problems with this car, the PAX tires and the noisy brakes. The noisy brakes have been a problem for the last 5 months. The dealer finally told me there was a service bulletin issue for the brake pads. They voluntary replaced the pads but now there's a clunking noise when I brake. Of course it stops making that noise when I take it in. The tires are a real pain, can't get them anywhere and nobody knows how to fix them. Imagine going on a road trip and needing a tire? We can be stranded out in nowhere for days before getting a replacement or even someone who knows how to fix it. My van is only 2 years but we're considering trading it for a lesser model of Odyssey or a Toyota. |
