I got the 2500HD Crew. Like the power of the 6.0. Cons: How would you improve 2005 GMC Sierra?
Just replaced 2nd Transfer Case.
GM knows about the problem but won't do nothing about it. |

Love the stylish lines...great quiet cab, lots of head and leg room. With the accessories I've added my truck is ONE FINE RIDE! Cons: How would you improve 2005 GMC Sierra?
I would improve the quality of exterior paint (slight peeling of paint on front bumper), Interior, when the console is raised in the up position (front seat) I would make something to block stuff from falling through to the back floor. Better speaker quality, had to replace my front speakers within 3 months of owning the vehicle. 2005 GMC Sierra Review:
An awesome truck. I drove them all and went back and bought the first truck I drove after first buying a new Ford F-150 and having it towed back to them the next day. There is a need for more service bulletins, Ive owned the truck 2 years now and have experienced front end (alignment & steering problems) today the problem was rectified with replacement of Intermediate Steering Shaft and Lower Column Bearing. The guys at the dealer knew right away what I was talking about when I said I experience a so slight thunk in the steering at slow speed while turning. Also note there is a new downlaod update for the transmission. I am so glad I took it in to the dealer before it's warranty expires. All in all the truck is GREAT! |

I love the power. Mine has the 5.3. Pulls a trailer with ease. Makes me forget it's behind me. Cons: How would you improve 2005 GMC Sierra?
I have an extended cab and the back windows cause a lot of wind noise especially at speed and using outside vent on A/C. How about making the rear widow latches ajustable to allow for a tighter seal?? How about a simple thermostat for the heat/AC as standard equipment? I get tired of turning mine on and off to maintain a constant(?) temp. 2005 GMC Sierra Review:
I love it...will buy another one in a few years. Suggest we do away with the metric system and go back to cibic inch displacement. 327 sounds much better than 5.3. The heck withthe rest of the world. Let them do the conversion math. |

The trucks power and 4WD are excellent! 2005 GMC Sierra Review:
I have been to the dealer multiple times with front end alignment issues that they cannot remedy. Additionally, I have factory alloy wheels that will not balance properly. My dealership claims that there is no problem..also the transmission hesitates and sporadically does not shift smoothly. Again the dealership states there is no problem and that what I experience is normal. I think not. |

I have a 2005 3500 Crew. I like the appearance and the power. Cons: How would you improve 2005 GMC Sierra?
The 2005 is cheaper made than my 1998 3500 Crew, which I still have. I don't think the 2005 will last as well as the 98. The body style sets higher than the older ones which increases roll-over possibilities. How high the truck sets has nothing to do with power. 2005 GMC Sierra Review:
I've had trouble with the brakes squealing since it was new and the dealership said there was nothing worng. Now they tell me that the calipers are sticking and the rotors are warped. The truck is still under warrenty but not the rotors. I checked with GM and they won't replace the rotors. Guess it's time to shop for a Dodge/Ford truck. |
