Acceleration is nice and handling is good.
Very adequate (stock) for this type of vehicle.
Interior is plain & boring but sufficient in space. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Focus?
Different cupholders. Rear light bulbs are biggest pain to change in any car I've ever owned.
Interior can use sprucing up badly. 2005 Ford Focus Review:
Overall a good car for travel and everyday driving. Needs maintenance on a more than regular basis to keep good performance. |

Gas mileage, styling and nice stereo. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Focus?
I'm not sure where to start with all the problems I have had.
1. Tires were bald under 20,000 miles.
2. The defroster strips have peeled off the rear window and Ford refused to replace them.
3. Brakes need to be replaced at 25,ooo miles
THE OVERALL QUALITY NEEDS TO BE INCREASED. 2005 Ford Focus Review:
I will never ever buy another Ford. I don't understand how a company can get away with not backing their warranty. I have emailed, called and written letters with no luck at all. I hope no one else will buy another Ford either. |

Brakes squeak when it rains, anti-theft lock comes on and car won't start. 2005 Ford Focus Review:
I have had nothing but problems with this car since I bought it. We had to replace the battery 3 months after we got it and the tires at 30k miles and about once a week it wont start. The radio randomly turns on and off driving and sometimes when I'm in 5th gear the car completely dies. It jolts the entire car and is scary on the freeway. The electronic key doesn't work all the time either and new ones are $80. Do not get this car. |

Nice to look at, Drives really nice, Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Focus?
Engine vibrations in Park Neutral Reverse Ideling or while driving. Vibrating sounds are very loud!!!! Shakes my windows and my side mirrors. Only have 50,000 miles on it. It is very very annoying!!!!! Dealerships tell me I need new Motor mounts. Why do I need then starting at 40,000 miles. Runs good, except for the whole lot of shaking going on!!! 2005 Ford Focus Review:

When starting it up it makes a very annoying loud noise, I had it in to be looked at and was told that gears were a little rusted from not driving it enough I drive my car everyday. Maybe its the brakes or engine noise. |

Has good kick when you need it. Handles well. Nice interior. Nice stereo system. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Focus?
Breaking system! Breaks squeak loudly after awhile. Engine Vibrations tend to get annoying when idling. Steering column should telescope. 2005 Ford Focus Review:
Overall this is a great little car! Its held up with for over 52,000 miles. And I dont exactly drive like the most sane person! Great little car for lower class racing and drifting if thats your style :) |

hitting the curves, the stereo system, the extra kick on the highway, trunk space, the tint. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Focus?
build a whole new brake system for the FOCUS line, after 1 year the brakes should not squeak excessively, and after two years of fixing the breaks, your steering column shouldn't start to vibrate when going over 60 miles an hour. Other than that, its a great car! :) 2005 Ford Focus Review:
it start out great. After 4 months, the brakes squeak a little, after 12 months they squeak excessively. If Ford would have taken the extra time in building a qualified braking system for the Ford Focus line, they never would have had the problems with the Braking systems starting in 2000. Now the problem continues up to the 2005 editions. After 12 months, the warranty for the brakes expire. Do not get me wrong, the Ford Focus is a great car to have with the exceptions noted above. Thank you for your time. |
