| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I like the room that the vehicle has and I also like the third seat, which gives me the ability to carry more passengers when the need arises.
I, unlike the others on this site, really think this vehicle has a good turning radius, as I can get out of many tight spots that my former mini-van, a Chrysler produce, couldn't. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Again, unlike most of the reviewers at this site, I HATE the DVD player, because it NEVER worked, right off the lot. It has been in and checked, replaced, and checked again and again, and it NEVER has worked correctly. It is a piece of junk!
I also have had problems with the transmission, the computer system, the CD/radio, the alternator, starter, and the remote engine starter. All of this occurred before the warranty was up, but every time I took it into a dealership to have it worked on, the mechanics never found anything wrong with any of these things. And, as soon as I left, EVERYTHING fouled up, as per my complaints. I called Chevrolet customer service countless times and complained, but they could only send me to another dealership. None of these problems were ever resolved! To this day I still have trouble with ALL of the aforementioned items! 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: This vehicle is a piece of junk, which Chevy NEVER should have manufactured. But, they did and they won't admit that they made such junk, for I have been on the phone with them for years since purchasing this, and they have never, ever helped me resolve any of these problems, and in my opinion, they never will!
I have had Chevy's before and loved them, but now, I will never buy from them again. My next car will be foreign! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I am coming from a 2000 model explorer limited which I loved but didn't suit my growning family - no 3rd row. So, I love the room. However, I struggled to find a vehicle with 3 in middle row and 3 in back --- that I could also afford. I love the DVD, I love the semi-leather that I have, so far the gas mileage is good (comparable to the explorer limeted). The best thing for me and 3 under 6 is the double power sliding doors! Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I purchased a 2005 model in 2008 for cost issues - I could actually afford this car and the perks (DVD, sliding doors, leather etc...). My best friend has a Venture that she loves and I followed suit. On day one, the little clips that hold the second row seatbelts in a better position for kids - one broke in half. On day two, the second one broke. I will get these replaced when I first need to take it in for something more serious, but I don't hold much hope that they will survive any longer.
On my particular uplander - there is absolutely no cigarette lighter/plug for my cell phone except in the cargo area behind the 3rd row (not very convenient for cell phone usage). I understand that an ashtray package was an option - but the plugs too???
I purchased a great little console gadget at Wal-Mart because there does not seem to be enough room for all the "stuff" a mom needs to keep in the front seat. However, there was plenty of room for my little add on and I like it because it is soft sided and therefore nothing rattles when I hit a bump - so perhaps I am better off. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: I have only owned for a few weeks - so I can't respond except to say that my kids love it and I am happy to have been able to afford what I wanted - I am in the middle of a divorce and so I couldn't afford many of the cars that I might have liked to have had. I purchased a 2005 with part leather and DVD and dual sliding doors with 44K miles for $12K - I'm happy!
I have read horrible reviews - so I opted for the extended warranty at Driver's Way for $2,000 - for 4 years or 48K miles. My trade cancelled out the expense and if i need it - it covers pretty much everything except brakes, oil and tires.
My friend with the Venture has never had any problems with hers - so I am hoping for the best. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I just bought a one owner Uplander that only has 25K on it. I am quite happy with it after driving it for a month. I had an 04 Venture and it's similar, but better. I deliver the mail and it's quite adequate for the job. I'd still be driving the Venture if someone had not run a red light in front of me. I like the 17 inch wheels. It gives it a nice ride. Everything works and I think the complainers just bought lemons. They should be happy they don't have a Toyota right now. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? When I have my brakes done, as it sounds like I'll have to according to others, I will buy the best money can buy. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: I've had a lot of Chevys and this is one of the best ones. Sure beats the gas hog 4 cylinder Dodge Caravan I also own. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? The exterior is about the best feature. The SUV look is a great option as opposed to the straight minivan look. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? The brakes are horrible. We need brake work every few months. We've never owned a car in 23 years that needed as many repairs as this one. We've only had the car for 3.5 years and we've put more money into this than our '99 Chrysler Minivan.
The front seats started tearing and splitting. The rear window wiper doesn't work. The automatic sliding door broke. The driver's window stopped functioning. We just started having transmission problems. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Worst vehicle we've ever owned. We'll never buy another GM again. This was a lemon with constant problems. GM should be ashamed for not doing recalls on all of the common problems. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Exterior looks quite good relative to other minivans. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Brakes and rotors rotten, need constant replacing. Trouble with alignment leads to uneven tire wearing - 4 year old vehicle now just got 3rd set of tires.
Dealer always finding work needed. Transmission trouble, caliper trouble, 3rd brake job, now sensor and bearing for ABS on one side gone. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Worst vehicle for repairs I've ever owned in 25 years. Will never own a GM again. Had hoped to go without a car payment for at least one year before buying another vehicle, but that may not be possible with this lemon. We may cut our losses and get rid of it. What a major disappointment. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I like the space and the dvd player and the sliding doors. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? After having my van for a month and ten days I started having problems with the right side sliding door opening after it had been closed. I Was very disappointed that this was not the first time this problem had been addressed. OTHER OWNERS had this same problems. This is a serious issue and why wasn't a recall done concerning the right side sliding door? The right side slinging door should of been recalled. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE SOMEONE GETTING HURT OR KILLED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE SLIDING DOOR. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Very nice anemities, leather, cd, air, and the ride is nice. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? The rotors are bad and need constant repair which causes the vehicle to go through brake pads quickly. I have had nothing but problems with this uplander ever since we purchased it in 2007. A wheel bearing, new rotors and now the Chevy dealer just quoted me $7,000.00 to replace the transmission and rear differential. I only have 100,000 miles on the vehicle. I will NEVER get another Chevy again. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: A money pit and full of problems! |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Big seats. Dvd headphones. Comfy seats, very smooth ride, drives like a car. Like the look of van not so mini van looking. Good power, not bad mileage for one that is fully loaded and versa trac. Nice. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Brakes rotors horrible. Sliding door passenger side only work when it wants too. Air conditioner never cold and vent's are hard to adjust. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Ok over all. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Color, style and options. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Brakes, rotors, stabilizer bar, ABS lights/brakes and now engine problems. The problem is I service it according to the manual. Maintenance cost/cash drainer. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Warranty is too low, and dealer is always finding something wrong. He isn't too sympathetic and I had a Venture before this. Neither car was very comfortable or remained in the fleet long enough? I think GM has a problem with this model. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? After getting rid of the original equipment tires the drive on the car is great. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I own a 2005 and the front rotor system sucks!!!!!!!!!! Having to resurface the rotors every 10,000 miles or less is awful. Tried replacing them with EBC rotors that have cuts in the face to keep them cool and didn't do much better. I have 60,000 miles on the car now and when you try to stop the car the steering wheel shakes especially at high speeds. Could use more room inside and I have problems with the right side door opening after parked and locked. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Don't recommend buying one with a five bolt pattern wheel. When they changed to the 6 bolt pattern I think in 2007 it seems they eliminated the problem. Car has been in the shop way too many times. Just keep on spending money for repairs. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I love all the interior space. My sister has a Sedona and she has no space. I can 7 adults and a ton of stuff. My van has a cargo rack on the roof and I don't even need it because there's so much space. I also love that the dvd player has headphone jacks so that my daughter can watch tv and I can still listen to music. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? It does have a few blind spots but it doesn't bother me too much. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: I love this van!!!! My husband will even drive it because he says that it looks more like an suv than a van :) |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? Mileage, handling Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? constant brake pad & rotor repalcement, sliding door needs constant readjustment, front stabilizer & wheel bearings won't hold up. 2005 Chevrolet Uplander Review: Don't buy it unless you put aside $150/month for needed upkeep & repairs in addition to the payment even with the extended GM protection plan. |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? i like all the passenger room in the uplander. i also have a handicap son who's wheelchair fits in the back. the uplander is also known to be converted for handicap people. Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? my 2005 uplander has been a major problem since i bought it. The right side door will re-open it's self after i have closed it. Also, when driving the uplander the doors will come unlocked and the right side door will open itself as the vehicle is moving down the road. We have to stop the vehicle and put it in park, then shut the door. this needs to be a improvement on the vehicle. we've had it fixed several times in which they think it's fine... |

| Pros: What do you like about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? they are great minivans especially for families. not competitive my butt they have many great accesseries. whoever said that has no taste or class and should be fired from their current job many people have these minivans and they said that their minivan was the best one ever.and that they would reccommend it to anyone I am a hollywood reporter and i have been informed that brangelina have one of these minivans they are better than any caravan caravans have very cheap exterrior and interrior. in conclusion uplanders rock infact all GM minivans rock if they are anything like the uplander older or not that goes for the Venture,Uplander,Relay, Silhoutte,Terrezza, Montana,Montanna sv6 LuminaAPV and any others you can think of. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Cons: How would you improve 2005 Chevrolet Uplander? I WOULDNT |
